Tales of the Walking Dead is an episodic anthology with individual episodes or arcs of episodes focused on new or existing characters, backstories or other stand-alone experiences in The Walking Dead universe.

One more flavor of the same, the first episode was ok, will see how it will go. Looks like they managed to get a top of the line cast for these series.

No, and why should they? smile

I do feel we've reached the peak when it comes to the number of zombie shows though... maybe even a year or so ago.

That being said, I can't wait for another season of https://next-episode.net/black-summer if it's anywhere near as awesome as season 2!

Re: Tales of the Walking Dead

It's actually good, straight to action without the usual hours long bs dramas. Tho I don't see what it has to do with "TWD universe" - probably did that just for marketing reasons, it's nothing like TWD, it's a zombie comedy so far.

Well, it does use the TWD universe - same zombies (skills etc.) and history. Using https://next-episode.net/black-summer as a background for an anthology would be great too, but would feel totally different! smile

And you know that just because of the title big_smile It could be named Funny zombie tales with no issues. Plus as far as I remember TWD focused on the whole what and how happened in total like 30 minutes, all we know it's a slow zombies, turn time a couple hours. You don't really need "a universe" for that, right?

S01E06 was a full blown horror movie. 50/50, half of episodes I liked, the other half was garbage.

I liked most episodes, I found 1x6 only average. Let's see if the show gets another season.

Re: Tales of the Walking Dead

I've seen s01e01 and 02 tonight. Was a bit thrown off by what seemed like a bit "cheaper" s01 in the way the scenes were in the beginning (in Joes bunker) and thought the rest would sux, but it got better later in the ep. And  I liked the "Groundhog day" e02 way more than e01.

So...I like the series so far, refreshing with a different take on things and I'm kinda looking fwd to the rest of the eps to see what they come up with.

Oh, and I (Like lighton) really, *REALLY* wants s03 of Black Summer...the first two seasons were simply amazing big_smile
