Set in the Star Wars universe, Andor is a tense nail-biting spy thriller, which follows the adventures of a rebel spy Cassian Andor.

The... Andor | Teaser Trailer | Disney+ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5UX1Adanis ...has just been released and I must say: it looks awesome! More than I expected - I hope they'll deliver (when it airs). Very promising cast.

Looking forward to the second season, I love Alan Tudyk, one of my favorite actors.

And a new one: Andor | Official Trailer | Disney+ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PboKpnin_Wg Sucks that they are using the same title for this shorter trailer - I liked the trailer I linked in my previous post better.

Re: Andor [Drama, Action, Adventure, Thriller, Sci-Fi]
The first two episodes each felt like more than an hour so I'd hate to think how bored I'd have been if they actually were. Third picked up a bit but still, yawn.

+1 Didn't even make it through EP1. I actually didn't like it from the first minute on but tried to give it chance. Good to hear others are feeling the same way. Somehow I feel, I have grown out of Star Wars. I really loved the original three movies. And still do. Everything which followed later on... never met my expectations and with every new piece of Disney garbage shoved down my throat, I have a little less interest in even giving them a chance. And yes. I even hated the much appraised Mandalorian.

Like many on this very forum, he winds up an old man wearing cargo pants on a beach. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Lots of atmosphere but not a lot of coherent plot.

I don't like the colour tone/filter used for Andor, i had to check twice if it really used HDR and was on my TV enabled. Ep 1: Boring Ep 2: Boring Ep 3: Half way decent but still not there yet

I'm with you 100% regarding 1x1 and 1x2, but at least I enjoyed watching 1x3.

Ep 4 is quite good. Glad to have some payoff for having to sit through the first 3. Of course plenty of folks tapped out already.

Re: Andor [Drama, Action, Adventure, Thriller, Sci-Fi]
I do not generally care that much for Star Wars, i think it is a neat concept and i enjoy it, i have seen every movie and so but i am not a super "nerd" fan. I also did not very much like the recent tv versions, Obi Wan was the best try so far in my opinion. But this show, is absolutely brilliant stuff especially compared to the others. But even judged just as a stand alone random tv-show or scifi, it is very good. Writing is good, all characters are interesting and not stupid stereotypes, acting is good and the sets and special effects are absolutely amazing, they literally make obviously fake stuff like flying buses look completely real. Unless it turns into really shitty writing later on, this is a very high quality piece of television. I really enjoy it, i do not understand how any one can get bored with it.

Did you really enjoy even 1x1 and 1x2?

Yes, probably just as much or even more than the third one. I am personally not that interested in action scenes i just want an interesting story to follow, action should just enhance the story not be the main focus. But sure i can understand that people who likes more action scenes maybe thought it was a bit "quiet."

Missing something else? Hm yeah maybe i was just not critical enough just because i was generally so infatuated with the perceived jump in quality from the other ones i have seen. Obviously it surely has flaws it is not perfect, i just did not mind any of them at the time.

Re: Andor [Drama, Action, Adventure, Thriller, Sci-Fi]
I've enjoyed watching 1x5! The perfection of all the settings/ scenery pulls you in. What a contrast to shows like https://next-episode.net/killjoys or http://next-episode.net/dark-matter! (Of course also in budget.) ▼Spoiler The only thing they got really wrong was the low-altitude flight in the valley: everyone ducked down and covered their ears... but the animals didn't move an Imperial inch! If you ever experienced low-altitude flights with animals around you know that that's extremely unlikely. They could have easily decided not to show the animals in that scene. At least the humans did a good job.

Re: Andor [Drama, Action, Adventure, Thriller, Sci-Fi]
Ep 5 was really good too. It's really starting to seem like they had the show plotted and then someone decided they should glom on an origin story to alienate viewers.

Re: Andor [Drama, Action, Adventure, Thriller, Sci-Fi]
1x6. I mostly agree with this, found on https://www.leisurebyte.com/andor-episo … iego-luna/: From CGI to well-laid-out battle scenes, Andor Episode 6 did it all and more. It gave us good music, enough emotional trauma and yet, the last bittersweet laugh over the Empire’s cruelty. The episode was truly magnificent. And, given how we are in the midway of the show, this peak seems worth all the foundations and slow burn the previous episodes offered us.
