Night Sky centers around Franklin and Irene York, a couple who years ago discovered a chamber buried in their backyard which inexplicably leads to a strange, deserted planet. They've carefully guarded their secret ever since, but when an enigmatic young man enters their lives, the Yorks' quiet existence is quickly upended, and the mysterious chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could ever have imagined.

Trailer looks very promising! What a unique story.  And I love J. K. Simmons, he's always great.

I want to like it, I like the idea and the actors but it just seems so damn slow.

I thought you were exaggerating, but then I watched 1x1. Yes, it's soooo sloooow...  (But good enough for me to keep watching.)

I got half way through 1x1 and gave up, so slow and not enough to hold my interest, not one for me but I did so want it to be one that I would watch.

Ah, too bad. I watched 1x2 and 1x3 by now and can say that it gets a lot less slow (but not really fast) and really, really good!

Finished season 1. Good show, but shouldn't have been this slow IMHO. And the tech shown is good for a lot more story, so hopefully we'll get to see this if/ when the show gets renewed.

I've managed to watch all bar the last episode, while it has good points it's just too slow to enjoy for me. Definitely won't bother with another season, I'll be lucky to watch the last episode which will only happen if I run out of other shows to watch.

You've come so far, do yourself the favor and watch it. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy what is revealed.
