thats too obscure for me. It is just a tv show
Yes, with a huge fan base that love all these little details.
You are not going to explain him are you ? lol. There is a special name for these types of items, "easter eggs", usually though they do not hog the story line, are hidden in plain sight. If it turns out we do not see him in the last 2 eps then thats all the guy is? and a waste of time

Re: Star Trek: Picard
well thats eps 9 done. I suppose we will have to wait until next week to see if the show is able to pull all the dubious threads together. Stewart does sound really old & more than a bit feeble doesn't he?

Well he is 81 and the shooting of a TV show is no walk in the park either and puts a toll on you.

2x9. Not a fan. ▼Spoiler The gunfight felt like they were trying not to damage anything, the gun lasers weren't used properly, way too many illogical decisions (like moving too slow while being chased or talking too loud with the bad guys literally around the corner), and worst of all: letting the Borg Queen just fly away and thus endangering the future of humanity.

well ▼Spoiler the bad guys cannot hit the good guys? The lasers were giving the bad guys away - not very prefessional. I still wonder how that cop of eps 8 is going to figure in the final eps & I can not wait to see why Picards mental problems affected Q & he is dying as a result, absurd idea really - my mind boggles at that, I bet it will be a cop out. I think the show has been going downhill since eps 8

Without spoilers, there was one thing that I saw before it was revealed but in totality. I did not expect the ending.
...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?

It's not been a great season overall. S1 was good, S2 not so much https://whattowatchon.tv/star-trek-pica … -tt8806524

Re: Star Trek: Picard
Aside from those 2 bad episodes in S2, I've enjoyed S2 more than S1. I'm hoping for a good season finale.

Re: Star Trek: Picard
210 gets an eyeroll, a faint "meh", and the sappiness gets an "oh please gag me", that said, the best part for me was when.... ▼Spoiler ...Wesley Crusher showed up and I started quoting Mr. Butlertron from Clone High, saying: "Don't mention it.......Wesley.", over and over and over again. Still no Federation Starship Relativity? Did Wesley re-create another version of the Temporal Integrity Commission? That could be a good show, actually. We'll see next year in season 3. I guess the nice thing about these shows, is that the torture test is only 10 episodes per year.

Re: Star Trek: Picard
so the cop was a time waster & served no purpose than to excite some trekkies ( I assume). I subtitle this eps the "get your tissues out, touchy/feely eps". Realy a badly thought out season. Q not really necessary and Picard's love life embarrassing. This show achieved what Discovery took 4 seasons to do, in 2 seasons. puke.

ep10 was poor. ▼Spoiler Wil Wheaton was so bad, he was really over acting. And, oh what a surprise they all jumped back into their correct time line. FFS.

Thanks! I am wondering what line they are going to follow in that season?

Good question. Who knows. Season 2 almost completely ignored season 1 and created a highly tedious and pointless storyline that went no where, and really brought out the best in us as Wizard was yelling profanities like "FFS" and I was busy puking, sooooo, season 3 will probably be whatever annoys trekkies and makes them hate Star Trek. Just guessing.

Re: Star Trek: Picard
season 2 was a S.T version of Avengers Endgame film? saying good bye to the old characters , though rather diluted by fact that Picard is coming back! Pointless. It seemed to think providing backstories was a good basis for a season ( eg Sung, a really nasty man). It was a vampire season feeding on the life blood of past star trek, though setting up false hopes and good feelings ▼Spoiler ( the whole point of saving the ancestor space mission viz saving the ocean) since WW3 and first contact stiil happened? And all of this so Picard can sort his love life out. ▼Spoiler And of course it had to have The Kiss so the diversity box could be ticked

I liked him showing up. I liked 2x10, and thus 80% of season 2. A good (enough) season for me, better than season 1. Now let's see what season 3 will bring. Isa Briones Exits 'Star Trek: Picard' Becoming Fourth Actor Not Returning for Season 3 https://collider.com/star-trek-picard-s … ones-exit/

he has a habit of turning up in other shows. He appeared in a Supergirl-dc universe crossover cameo as a doom-sayer

@ All of you One look at Wil Wheaton's stupid face and I'm laughing. Knee jerk reaction. Doesn't matter what. So, every show that's boring should add Wil Wheaton, as far as I'm concerned. Great for my inner Crow T. Robot. The season was already quite comical (not in a good way), so it worked for me.

Didnt he also turn up in an eps of the Big Bang Theory in a monkey suit. It seems these cameos are the only parts he gets these days?

When a cast members isn't needed anymore (or is left in the past), doesn't it make sense for them to not return in the next season? Also, often there are scheduling conflicts. Maybe Alison Pill was needed elsewhere? merc wrote:paisley1 wrote:One look at Wil Wheaton's stupid face and I'm laughing. Knee jerk reaction. Doesn't matter what. Or maybe Wil Wheaton doesn't want/ need to act any more than he does?

Re: Star Trek: Picard
I found season 1 very disappointing and almost gave up. I am glad I did not. I really enjoyed season 2 and looking forward to season 3.
