Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

I got goosebumps while watching the teaser and (days later) the trailer. Love how different they are. smile

I like this IMDb staff comment:

Our Take: After watching the trailers, I am no closer to understanding what this series is about, and I'm okay with that. I am pretty sure that supernatural (or maybe alien) influences are at play, strange symbols seem to be appearing across the landscape, and the question: "You ever wonder if the world is not what you think it is?" may be pretty significant. I just really hope that this one leans hard into the strangeness. — Vanessa

Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

Reminds me of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch.

Episodes 1 and 2, are really good.  A bit slow, a bit intense, but watchable.

Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

Yeah, not much happened in 1x1 at first, but in a beautiful way! big_smile

But the acting was perfect, as was the suspense in the last third of the episode. Will continue watching for sure.

Spoiler

Any time loop, time portal, worm hole, Einstein-Rosen Bridge, type scenario, and I'm all in, and ya, the acting is spot on.

WHAT!!??  You've never had Clamato?  Ohhhhhh, you're not Canadian.  Here's the official site for Mott's Clamato, a drink that's in every Canadian pantry.  It's just so weird to think you've never had it.  yikes

...also, ya, great end to 102...

Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

Wow, 1x4!

Best game of cards of any TV show (that I can remember)! yikes

Spoiler

And for sure the most bison-heavy card game I ever saw! big_smile

Weird episode ending though... big_smile

Hehe... cool Yeah, it's funny how different countries are: you can grow up without ever tasting Clamato, or peanut butter, or marzipan, or lamb with mint sauce. smile

Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

You can keep your marzipan (who likes that?!), but I've never even heard of clamato.

2020.  Meh.

lol You can only say that if you only tasted the bad ones, with too much sugar and not enough taste, optimized for profit and a long shelf life. smile

(Or if you dislike almonds and sweets in general.)

No idea if I've only tasted the bad ones (who would know that?!) but I've eaten alot of cakes and I know marzipan is nasty stuff! smile

2020.  Meh.

Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

When I win the lottery I'll send you some of the good stuff! wink

Now wouldn't it be cool if the next Outer Range episode featured the awesomeness of (good) marzipan? big_smile

Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

I'm sure I would have tried some homemade marzipan in all my years, I just don't like it, and I know alot of people that feel the same.

And what even is Clamato?  Tomato juice?  I can't stand tomatoes so I definitely wouldn't like that, but I've never seen it in the UK.

It works the other way too, I mean, in the US it's impossible to get decent tea bags, and brown sauce?  Forget it!  Chocolate?  The US stuff is disgusting.

2020.  Meh.

From my experience hardly anyone (who likes sweets) doesn't like good marzipan. But of course there are those folks. smile

Read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clamato and be ready to be surprised. cool

Brown sauce aka boring sauce? big_smile I've only tasted it in UK restaurants, never particularly liked it. It's probably better when prepared at home?

All the things you've said about marzipan I could say to you about brown sauce.  It's hardly boring.  And if you've had it in UK restaurants, that's quite strange, I'd say it's mainly put it on breakfasts.

But hey, we're all different!

I've been in UK restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I don't recall when exactly I had it. But I shall give it another try in the future!

Yeah, it'd be boring if we all like the same stuff. smile

I really liked 105 and 106, very interesting and very intense.

Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

107 and 108 were amazing. I did suspect and presume who she was in the pilot, but dismissed the idea shortly after, turns out I was right.  That said,

Spoiler

Lili Taylor freaking out at the rodeo wasn't the best acting, kinda took me out of it, I think they should've done another take.

Everything else was and is amazing, love this show, but, total cliffhanger ending and didn't answer....

Spoiler

How Autumn/Amy got there in the future, what the hole is, etc, etc...  Season 2 I guess.

Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

1x8! Quite a season finale! Now we need season 2 confirmed. smile

Mind you, I gave up with Shoresy - too much gibberish smile

I know what you mean. I was going to give up, Episodes 1 and 2 were soooo slooooow. I was too lazy to start a new show. Glad I stuck with it. It actually got good.

Re: Outer Range [Drama, Mystery, Western]

This show seems intriguing....I might check this one out.

And now I finally tasted it. smile Loved it! Couldn't even taste their special ingredient, but it tasted wonderful. Won't buy more anytime soon though because of the added High Fructose Corn Syrup and synthetic food colorant Allura Red AC.

Thanks to whoever wrote Clamato into the script, looking forward to the next season even more now. (Will there be more Clamato?) big_smile
