Set in the Joseon Dynasty during King Jeongjo's reign, this martial-arts fusion sageuk is centered around the events involving Crown Prince Sado's conspiracy. Warrior Baek Dong Soo was a real-life legend who created a martial arts guide in Joseon. His group who defends King Jeongjo is pitted against a mysterious organization of assassins who plot to kill the King.
Talk about triggers. Emotional triggers, in places. You may not want to cry but I'd like to see you avoid it. I saw a scene in The Last Kingdom
(in the last two episodes) that had something similar to what I'm talking about yet 100% different. It did not have a trigger.
Anyway, if you think you can survive through those moments this is an awesome story.
It's got 29 episodes then wraps it up, story comes to a conclusion.
The music is great. I loved the music it was atmospheric.
Netflix didn't have this one but My Asian TV did and there are subtitles.
I highly recommend.
And whether it's on Netflix or My Asian TV I like to go to the Asian Wiki (and IMDb) to seek more information.
I think the only issue I have with the Korean dramas is the lack of English subtitles in the trailers. Trailers are important so a person can get an idea. I'll have to find the right person and give it a mention and hope for an outcome eventually.
