I don't know G. T. (and of course I had avoided reading your post before) but googled "cameo" when I heard the "you should be on television" line. He sounded 'too professional' for it not to be a cameo!

Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]
Best shown currently on television ;)
From the first episode I knew I was going to like it, its witty and there are jokes under jokes sometimes which I don't think many people would understand if they haven't watched a choice selection of documentaries, conspiracy theories and have a basic understanding of science.
Very clever show, amazing characters which actually reflect people I know, I sometimes find myself predicting what the smart arse character is about to say next lol.
Love it! Hands down. Only thing which sucks about this show is that each episode ends with a cliff hanger and is only released once a week =P Otherwise its perfect.

Lighton, how have you never watched Ancient Aliens!? There are so many embedded jokes in Resident Alien that are references to subjects from Ancient Aliens and pop culture ufo conspiracy crap....almost to the point where Resident Alien makes fun of Ancient Aliens, lol!
Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]
What I liked about that episode was that during the "who's who" presentation, Harry never denied the existence of any of them.

I agree! That was very funny!

What an awesome finale to an awesome show.
I'd watch another 10 episodes of this today.

I feel like going to an aquarium and attempting to feed some to an octopus to see if it's true.

202 had some great lines:
Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]
Wow, went hard woke on todays ep. Another somewhat decent show down the drain. Shame.

I haven't had the time to start watching the current season, but I doubt it's that bad ("down the drain").

IDK, I'm just done with getting lectures masquerading as entertainment from social justice warriors with double digit IQs. I'll just watch different shows which don't have poorly hidden agendas. At some point I'm bound to find one which doesn't just reel you in and transition.
Slight rant ahead.
Very few shows start off woke because they know it doesn't sell. They always start off with a decent premise and a normal cast. First few episodes are normal as they try to get you invested into the characters. Then after the first two episodes they slowly reveal that half the characters are some kind of letter soup (in the real world it's something like 0.1% with large mental illness comorbidity). The sidestories start circling around social issues, and the characters are all woke ideologues. The entire dynamic of the show is changed once that is revealed. It's not just a one-off, it's part of the character development.
At this point I've seen this enough times to understand it as a propaganda technique, introducing indifensible ideas by using false, constructed social proof. Most people don't actually reason about these things for themselves - they go by what the authorities say and what their friends think - AKA social proof. So it's a very effective method of persuasion when the ideas can't actually win on merit.
Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]

Yeah, like I said in a different thread: for decades minorities were suppressed (and hidden) in Hollywood, now the pendulum swings to the other side. I guess/ hope it'll be less intense in a few years. Looking forward to watching those new Resident Alien episodes and seeing for myself what's going on there.
Thank you for not crazy-ranting.

Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]
203 was a big letdown, how could they let something so bad go through?
Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]
Fucking love this show, so good.
Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]
Somehow, the second season sucks. Can't really put my finger on it.... but so far I do not like it and if the (given, awesome!) first season had been like the second, I probably would have dropped the show after episode 3.
Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]
Season 2 was ok but it wasn't as good as season 1, it just lacked the belly laughs imo.
Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]
The last few were a little lacklustre for sure.
There is still another 6 episodes to go so hopefully it will pickup.

Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]
The first half of Season 2 was a bit of a chore to get through. The story in season 2 from episode 3 to 8 was a lot of melodrama between Asta, Darcy, Liv, Kate, and Judy, that all became a bit repetitive. Apparently, the second season is set to consist of 16 episodes, split into two eight-episode parts, with the second half premiering in mid-2022.

For me, this is amazing news and a breath of fresh air, as this means, Resident Alien, will be the only show I've seen in years, to almost have a full season of episodes in a season, that is, 4 shy of 20. Looking forward to it, even if the jokes and editing won't be as tight.
Remember 24? It actually had 24 episodes of television per season, for 8 seasons straight!

Where did you get that number from? I don't think shows follow a set number of episodes for a season.
UK shows have 6 episodes a season, and have done for quite a while. 10 seems to be the norm now for a lot of shows.
