Re: Lost in Space (2018) [Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi]

I'm on Ep 5 and it's continued to be a reliable series... I hope it wraps up well <fingers crossed>

wellI have finished  the show. it "does wrap up well". atleast we see lots of aliens rather than them being implied.

Spoiler

S03E06 - in distant future if you want to attract an attention of alien robots, you can try to put on a song from 1981 smile

Re: Lost in Space (2018) [Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi]

For the 8 episodes we got I think we could have done a tad less with the flashbacks and maybe gotten a few minutes on the creators and what went wrong. This show kinda reminded me of 24. Constant crisis with no let down. The pace felt wrong. But visually it was stunning.

I have a question but I cannot ask it here unless someone tells me how to make spoiler tags. I do not wish to give anything away.

The small icon on the very right, directly on top of the "Write message" input field where you typed your post.

If you are using a mouse, you can hover over it to reveal what it does before clicking.

Re: Lost in Space (2018) [Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi]

I confess, I wanted everyone dead in season 2, but season 3 was worth the watch.

The lines are so corny and the performances are so hammed up, so often, I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have.

Episodes 301-306 were great.  Episode 307 was terrible.  Episode 308 was fun...

Spoiler

YOU get a Robot!  And YOU get a Robot!  And YOU get a Robot!  EVERYBODY GETS A ROBOTTTTTTT!!!!

...and they're dead!  lol

...and the end was so cheezy!

7/10.  I could be persuaded to go higher though.

Finished the show today. So good! I have lots of respect for the set/ production designers, must be a LOT of work to make it all look good (along with the CGI). <3

Wish every Netflix show (that I want to watch cool ) had a budget this big. smile

oh it's good??

I dropped it at the end of S1. I found gender swapped Dr Smith really annoying but looks like I'll give it another try.

Do it! cool

And yes, Dr. Smith was so annoying... painfully annoying at times.

just be thankful she was not made a transwoman. The original one was rather effeminate?

Absolutely watch it.  Even though I found it corny, cheezy, and hammed up, I enjoyed that about it, it's fun. wink  The special effects, sets, props, atmosphere, and world building are great.  The CGI from time to time would take me out of the fiction though...very petty to say that, but still true, it did.  Worth the watch though.  I love Parker Posey so she never bothered me throughout.

Spoiler

The latter half of season 2 was filmed here at home in Canada as horseshoe canyon looks other worldly, so that took me out of the fiction a bit because I recognized it, but it was also fun to see.
