After Life centers on Tony, who had a perfect life. But after his wife Lisa suddenly dies, Tony changes. After contemplating taking his own life, he decides instead to live long enough to punish the world by saying and doing whatever he likes from now on. He thinks it's like a Super Power - not caring about himself or anyone else - but it turns out to be tricky when everyone is trying to save the nice guy they used to know.

Ya, it's great, I can't stop.  All the crazy secondary characters have all the best lines and moments, it's a beautiful comedy.

The gallows humor just rings so true and clear.

Disappointing third series.  I agree with what most of the critics are saying.

I found s3 to be perfectly fine. Did miss the two cast members who weren't in it but there were some really great bits.

You and the critics are crazy, I was in pain laughing at season 3.  Brian the hoarder played by David Earl cracks me up.  Off camera everyone had to be breaking character, there's no way to hold a straight face at that bit in 304 about his ex-wife.  I watched it 3 times.  lol

After the squash match, Tony and Matt finally have the conversation about Lisa, Matt's sister, and him grieving for her, not just Tony, as I was wondering when that would happen. 

The final moment critics suggests betrays the theme of the third season and the series.  I'd say it's bitter sweet and open to interpretation.

Amazing song selection throughout the series.  The episodes have a framework that's repetitive and consistent, much like Tony, and helps to cue into the characters and story.  Peaceful and beautiful.

Watch it and weigh in.

lol  David Earl is hilarious.  That whole scene in 304 was as funny as New Girl 417 Spiderhunt, for the same reason.

Do you mean, Ricky Gervais is as savage as the character Tony that he plays in After Life, if so,

I noticed a lot of Ricky coming out in Tony as well, as though, the entire show of After Life was just a way for Ricky to get an audience to feel sorry for him and gain back some appeal for his off color humor and saying "I don't care anymore" while hosting the Golden Globes every time, especially by the characters in After Life constantly reaffirming Tony by saying, "You're a good boy/man."  (Off-topic:  Of course, his argument in that link is flawed, a moral law always comes first, then the scientific law, rinse lather repeat over and over again.)

Came across 'Cunk on Britain' https://next-episode.net/cunk-on-britain with Diane Morgan who plays Kath on this. It's just tremendous. All episodes are on yoobs.
