Re: Yellowjackets [Mystery Horror]

I watched the first 3 episodes and loved the music, the 90's were great, but I lost interest in the premise.  The "previously on" actually helped me pick up what this show was about, because I wasn't getting it.  1 hour episodes drag on like a year.  Anyone on next-episode watching this?

I've read some reviews for Yellowjackets from rotten tomatoes and it's 100% Fresh from the critics, yet they've done nothing to help me cue into this show.  I think I'm closer to the audience score on this one.

Spoiler

Perhaps it's just that horror tropes don't interest me, as outlined here:

6 Common Horror Tropes

1. Jump scare.
2. No coverage.
3. The Abandoned place. ✓
4. The vengeful spirit. ✓
5. Death by sex.
6. The final girl.

While they've tried to mitigate the tropes with drama and suspense, it still has a few.

Yep, I'm watching it.  2 or 3 episodes in and liking it so far.

2020.  Meh.

Re: Yellowjackets [Mystery Horror]

I'm also watching this one, I like it, except not thrilled with that wannabie hardcore actress who plays Natalie. Misty feels like a female Dexter or that guy from You, haha. 8/10.

Spoiler

Still have not figured out who will be eaten (I assume that is what they did) big_smile
