I wondered about that too while watching. CGI became so good (as we discussed in the https://next-episode.net/the-mandalorian forum thread IIRC), and since they can now even generate cars* that drive through real landscapes, I guess those rooftops aren't a big problem. If anyone sees an article about details, please post. *Yeah, those car commercials on TV? Those are not always real cars anymore that you see driving around there. Even if I don't say it, I'm thinking it! @dofus You're welcome! @lighton All I got is this, I think/assume the roof's are just sets already on the Disney backlot; even more incredible if all that running on the roof was completely green screen, I couldn't tell, felt real and seamless. Ha ha I'd never seen/heard "The Pit" before, very funny. Well they did put him back in the pit long enough to see him break out, so yes they should I don't think its Golden Age thinking. My disappointment is because he has gone from being "the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy". With just that, your imagination goes wild and the guy could be or do anything to now, he's just some guy in armour. The mystery is gone. To be fair, I hated the whole Jengo Fett bit in the prequels as well, that killed the mystery too. Its like a horror movie, the suspense and terror are highest before you see the monster, it could be anything ... then you finally see it and its never as bad/good as you imagine.... 32 2022-01-02 18:31:58 (edited by paisley1 2022-01-07 20:29:10)Re: The Book of Boba Fettproteinnerd wrote:
Ah yes, never meet your heroes. That mystery was definitely gone a long time ago with Jengo and Boba in the prequels, now even more so with The Mandalorian, speaking of which, it's always funny to remember that every time Boba kills a stormtrooper he's killing his dad/himself! Disney+ > The Mandalorian > 206 > Timestamp 13:00 Hopefully you continue to watch, and this show brings some of that 'the man, the myth, the legend' back for you in some way. Re: The Book of Boba FettOk I withdraw the benefit of the doubt I was giving Rodriguez. This show's just plain bad. Re: The Book of Boba Fettmrverene wrote:
Agreed. Very poor DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".

I absolutely love the aesthetic and world of Star Wars, this looks great. The story is another issue entirely, so far is just so completely meh, I cant bring myself to like or hate it. Re: The Book of Boba FettI feel exactly the same. I don't find it a chore to watch or think its terrible, but I don't look forward to it each week. But then there's not many shows these days I do really look forward to to be fair "city morgue, you kill em, we chill em"

thats its plus point. All the good shows are either gone or waiting for the next season. But The Discovery of Witches is back in a few days so thats one of the good ones ADMIN EDIT: The https://next-episode.net/a-discovery-of-witches discussion continues here: https://forum.next-episode.net/viewtopi … 12#p171512 Re: The Book of Boba Fettbamuel wrote:
That's a great side-benefit of not having time to watch everything right away, as is the case with me recently. Only finding the time to watch less than 7 episodes per week, a plethora of great shows is waiting for me to catch up. And still... I choose to watch Boba Fett. I wonder where its IMDb rating will end up, right now it's 8.1/10 - with https://next-episode.net/the-mandalorian being 8.8/10. The Mandalorian didn't look interesting, didn't watch. I wasn't planning on watching The Book Of Boba Fett but then you guys made me interested talking about the rooftop scenes and cgi. I watched it and I enjoyed it. Just wish I could binge it. At least I was able to binge the first two episodes being a latecomer to the show. Re: The Book of Boba FettI like it, if only it fills in a lot of Star Warsverse back story. Particularly liked all the time spent on the Sand People. 45 2022-01-07 07:30:43 (edited by paisley1 2022-01-07 08:11:02)Re: The Book of Boba Fett102 took me two attempts. Boba on Kamino flashback from Clone Wars was the only thing that got me interested. Love the prequels. Very popular opinion I know everyone says. All this post-pit tribal dancing nonsense bores me, I'm way more interested in pre-pit origin story Boba hanging out with Jabba/chillin with Vader. Parts of this ep reminded me of the train job on Firefly, other parts like the Knights Tale training scene, which leads me to assume I'm just missing Wash, and can't wait for season 2 of Resident Alien that comes out in 3 weeks-ish. Thinking of other things while watching = meh/10. Re: The Book of Boba Fettpaisley1 wrote:
