Topic: Hawkeye
https://next-episode.net/hawkeye
Series based on the Marvel Comics superhero Hawkeye, centering on the adventures of Young Avenger, Kate Bishop, who took on the role after the original Avenger, Clint Barton.
Is anyone watching this? I've seen the first three but I don't think it's for me. I'll watch the first season (only 6 episodes) and see how it goes.

Re: Hawkeye
I like it at 2x. Kate is well done. Not a big fan of MCU Clint and his family but it's fine.

Yeah, watching it, but I feel like you... I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of action (given the low number of episodes - but maybe my expectations were too high). And by the extent of how much of the show seems to be done for a young adult audience. And I was annoyed by the lead female's 'typing' on her phone in 1x2, when what she 'typed' appeared on the screen as if by magic... it didn't match what her fingers did AT ALL. That's just lazy. If they don't want her to actually type stuff, they shouldn't have shown the phone at all and show just the messages as an overlay for the viewer, as some other TV shows and movies do. End of rant. There were good scenes too.

Re: Hawkeye
I'm enjoying it more than Falcon and Winter Soldier....but that isn't hard.

Re: Hawkeye
So, I feel as though this series just doesn't have as much money as the previous, 'cause as I watch a lot of what's happening on screen it looks like I'm watchin one of the NETFLIX Avengers series... That being said, I really don't care that there's not much in the way of production value because I've been a Kate Bishop fan since I picked up my fist issue of Young Avengers in the mid-2000s. On top of which I loved the Matt Fraction story run, which much of this Disney+ series seems to be pulling from... so I really could care less if the fight coordination is more at the quality level of say a CWDCU series, I've never really watched any of my favorite super's shows or movies for the action anyway, I'm here for the character development. As long as they keep on doing what they're doing, I'm here for more! Oh and for more of Lucky the Pizza Dog too... please ----- Incidentally Kate wss co-created by Allan Heinberg [Wonder Woman (2017), Grey's Anatomy, Sex and the City] while he was still working on The O.C.

nope. The least attractive of the avengers. I regarded him as like a sidekick, the robin to batman

Re: Hawkeye
I'm actually really enjoying Hawkeye. I like the pacing, everything. Quite surprised, as I found him the least interesting character from the films.
2020. Meh.

Re: Hawkeye
They should have called this series "Hawkeye Speaks" He speaks pretty good and the rest of the eps have, so far, been quite good.

Re: Hawkeye
That last Ep was everything I wanted from this show since it's beginning... I'm sad to know it's only to be one season

Re: Hawkeye
I loved a detail in the end of the episode, ▼Spoiler after the end-credits, when the title card comes up, we see it superimposed over a silhouette of Kingpin. Such a minor but still fun detail.

Re: Hawkeye
Last time I checked, Marvel Studios has not yet ordered a second season of Hawkeye, but they also didn't formally announce a second season of Loki and What If...? until after the first seasons had finished airing. The show was originally billed as a limited mini-series; same as WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which both featured just one season. If Hawkeye doesn't get renewed then it's easy money to bet that Clint and Kate will be explored further in an upcoming film or in a separate series. We know at some point the Disney+ episodes will intersect with the movies and vice versa. We also know Echo is coming, and the producers have hinted that Renner's Clint still has a future in the MCU. Other characters that were reintroduced in Hawkeye 1x05 are set up to most likely continue elsewhere in the MCU as well. And just like you h3ctic, I'm enjoying every bit of this show.

Re: Hawkeye
Marvel is in a bit of a fix? After the Infinity war films they effectivly killed off or retired most of the big heros. SO they have to start to use the minor ones like Hawkeye , Loki and Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) And a good job they have done!

Re: Hawkeye
Can't say I'm a Maya fan. The character is too simplistic for my taste. Not sure a whole Maya show will be better. It's an "okay" show for me, but not more. There are some funny ideas, like the different arrows, or ... ▼Spoiler ... using an Uber as a getaway car in 1x5. But I don't get the 8.1 IMDb rating.

Re: Hawkeye
I am not sure on this one. Every time Jeremy Renner talks it's just so wooden and simple. His acting is great as long as he keeps quiet. Maybe that's why he didn't have anything to say in the films. I got bored in this episode too,
▼Spoiler the whole ice arena thing was just so fake. You could see the villains starting to fall before they were even hit. COMMENT: use spoiler tags, everyone
