Topic: Locke & Key [Drama, Fantasy, Horror]
https://next-episode.net/locke-and-key Watchlists: 957
Based on Hill's graphic novel, a supernatural live-action drama about the adventures of the Locke family in home with portals to other places.
I don't know the novel, but I like the show's concept!

Re: Locke & Key [Drama, Fantasy, Horror]
Watched 1x1 and enjoyed it! Good story and acting, and the budget was big enough for some nice special effects.

Re: Locke & Key [Drama, Fantasy, Horror]
I liked this show, I think it worked well without being too childish or teenager-focused. I mean they were still the central theme, but without being overly annoying.

Agreed. ▼Spoiler The only thing that was annoying was the setup for the way too predictable cliffhanger. You have a missing person and an enemy who you know does shapeshifting, who also seems to be conveniently unconscious. Let's follow up on nothing and dispose of her by doing the exact thing she wanted you to do all along, instead of just trapping her literally anywhere else (well house, mirror, mind, etc.).

Re: Locke & Key [Drama, Fantasy, Horror]
some_one, did you keep on watching? I just finished season 2 - enjoyed it even more than the first season. One of the better Netflix shows for sure! ▼Spoiler The only thing I didn't like was that Eden brought back the long-dead soldier for season 3. I thought we'd seen enough of him.

I have yet to, and as it Netflix you can watch as many eps as you want in one go, an under rated feature

Re: Locke & Key [Drama, Fantasy, Horror]
I liked s2 about the same as 1. I really can't figure out why I don't hate this show seeing as i generally hate anything with a little goob kid and this one I'm annoyed by the mom as well. But I like it despite them.

It helped that the kid grew older since season 1. Yeah, the mom character isn't my favorite either... but it seems that's what the script asked for.

Re: Locke & Key [Drama, Fantasy, Horror]
I have just watched eps 1 of season 2. ▼Spoiler Not sure I like what has been done to Eden who now seems to be a comic figure. Would Some one exlplain the small opening story about the Independence War soldiers at the start or is this explained later on?

yes a good season and I agree with your spoiler ▼Spoiler esp as he has a fake accent, it is going to annoy a great deal could in fact be a deal breaker

The accent didn't bother me, but the way they made him talk... like a fake speech impediment or something... Hope it won't be too distracting in the next season.

I am not sure it is a speech inpediment rather than uppercrust gent accent

Thanks for sharing. I can live with that if the last season will be as good as season two.

Season 1 was great, but got bored of season 2. Not sure I even finished watching it

The idea is a one season show really? I turned off at the end of seaosn 2 with the American civil war gent being presented as the baddie for season 3

Re: Locke & Key [Drama, Fantasy, Horror]
Le sigh, the first new ep had to lean into the goobchild and the annoying mom. Hopefully that's not a trend.
