People hear predictions on when they will die. When that time comes, a death angel appears in front of them and kills them.

Something new from South Korea. The teaser trailer looks promising. smile

It's on Netflix though, so... cool Let's hope for the best!

Watched 1x1. Not as good as I had hoped (too much drama for my taste, and the Arrowhead livestream was needlessly long IMHO), but good enough to keep watching.

Re: Hellbound [Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Thriller]

watched 2-3 eps skipping through.  rubbish. just gore fest

Spoiler

. if you like seeing people in terror pulverised seeing them treated like a piece of meat , smashed against a wall ,watch it. The idea that this is divine retribution is just a weak justification for gore; turning it into a spectator event makes them just as bad or worse. crude. god is as bad as the devil

Awful dubbing, concept not bad, will watch a couple more episodes

Re: Hellbound [Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Thriller]

I liked it, though I watched the subs version. I've yet to see a good dubbing and I'm always reading subs anyway for high speed watching. Can't vouch for normal speed but it gets interesting at least. As to the supposed gore, didn't seem like much to me and they pan away from most of it. Seemed rather tame for the genre.

Re: Hellbound [Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Thriller]

I enjoyed it.  Only 6 episodes, quite an original concept I thought. I'd watch a second season.

It does make me laugh how people how to try and analyse everything they watch it.  Watch something, if you like it, keep watching it, if you don't, move on and watch something else.

2020.  Meh.

true but then no one would say anything and then you would have no reason to take a look. God definitely does not work in mysterious ways in this show, why the premise it is based on is silly. presumably this retribution been going on since Cain killed Abel, all in public view? The show seems to suggest it is a new thing

that was one super fire resistant baby, 1000+ Celsius

You're going off incomplete information. You need the full story to see why these objections don't apply.

what have I missed? explain. I watched eps 1 again. nope. If any thing I think it an offbeat comedy with those marauding monsters, clearly god needs to be sued for all the collateral damage. in fact the cops should arrest him for negligence

Re: Hellbound [Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Thriller]

Spoiler

what you've missed is not in episode 1 - i.e. that it's not divine retribution. That's just the interpretation of the cult.

4ish-6, though the end leaves more questions than it gave answers.

Re: Hellbound [Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Thriller]

Watched 1x4. Show could be better, but it's good enough for me to finish.

Spoiler

I like how they first took off the front wall of that mother's flat for all to see the "demonstration" from the street, and then turned it into a shrine/ museum later on. smile

And I love random small things that add nothing to the story, like the little boy giving one of the protagonists the finger in traffic! big_smile

Re: Hellbound [Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Thriller]

Spoiler

Imo the best part of this was the few last seconds which suggest that S02 with add zombies on top big_smile

Re: Hellbound [Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Thriller]

Okay, finished the show. Thankfully only six episodes - if it had 12, I had given up watching. The show had the potential to be better IMHO.

I came to a different conclusion, but yeah, at least a surprising ending.
