Topic: A "not tracking" indicator on individual show pages

I suggest a "not tracking" indicator on individual show pages (obviously visible only for the shows you are not tracking).

Maybe "- remove from watchlist" could become something like "- remove from watchlist (T)", with the "(T)" being crossed out.

Mouse-over for the crossed out "(T)" would be something like "Not tracking - click to go to Tracking page", and clicking it would bring you to the "Shows you're not tracking" section of https://next-episode.net/track .

Why? Because now you have to always open the https://next-episode.net/track page to be sure if you are tracking a given show or not. Seeing that info on the show's page directly would be helpful.

Good idea, I would expand on that and show a track/not track button (depending on current status) for all shows that are in the watchlist.  This way the management can be done in two places.

That could work too. I didn't suggest that because I'm not sure if another button that's visible for every show would be user-friendly for new users. But who knows, maybe it's good to point them to that feature. smile

Makes sense and it's something I've been thinking about adding for quite some time.

Will figure out the best way / place to do it and it'll happen - hopefully - within day(s) smile

Re: A "not tracking" indicator on individual show pages

I've thought about this some more. Another idea:

Replace
+ add to watchlist
and
- remove from watchlist
with

+ watchlist [greyed out text]
and
✓ watchlist

The same could be used for
+ track [greyed out text]
and
✓ tracked

Re: A "not tracking" indicator on individual show pages

I have a redesign contest running on 99designs right now.

I'll share some of the best entries with you guys later today.

So if we have a great design from there and I start implementing it site-wide, the above feature will make it in the process (and the add-remove button will be face lifted as well ...)

I recently celebrated the 2 years anniversary of your reply and want to encourage you to implement this much-missed feature. smile
