Topic: Favorite animated series?

Gave my vote to Futurama, even though the last episodes (after it was revived, again) were pretty bad ...

Re: Favorite animated series?

Where's My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? That show is awesome!

Went for South Park, though.

Re: Favorite animated series?

Back when I used to watch more tv animation, I loved Eek! the Cat also known as Eek!Strava-ganza.

Futurama has some great episodes for sure...but I voted for Sponge-Bob 'cause he's pretty dope too.

Good news everyone - it's Futurama!  big_smile

Re: Favorite animated series?

South Park all the way. Although I watched "Beavis & Butthead Do America" 2 days ago and it still rules. I was too young to understand it when it was popular I think though.

Re: Favorite animated series?

Went for South Park but there's loads of better ones not on the list!
The Boondocks would definitely be up amongst my top choices, along with Archer, The Venture Bros, and The Ricky Gervais Show (if you can count that).
King of the Hill is a classic as well, surprised that's not on the list!
Adventure Time is brilliant too, especially after a couple of joints  tongue

South Park, definitely

Re: Favorite animated series?

Voted for Looney Tunes. I still remember waking up extra early to watch cartoons right before going to school. Did that up until 7th grade when I got too lazy. I still watched it on the weekends though.  smile

In the absence of Archer , gave my vote to Futurama - although X-men the original animated series was quite enjoyable

Why is there no "Other"?

Re: Favorite animated series?

Family Guy, although the answer might have been The Simpsons if I hadn't watched so many season's of it already

Absence of Archer invalidates poll!

Re: Favorite animated series?

South park is pretty awesome, but it disappoints me as wel. Not much episodes each year (while they brag that they can create an episode within 3 days!). And the quality of the episodes (with a few exceptions) is dropping. So it was a close call, but with that in mind; i went for the Simpsons.

Re: Favorite animated series?

So the wonderful subgenre of anime is represented only by 2 childrens shows Naruto and Pokemon - gee thanks.

What about the likes of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Berserk, Last exile, Gantz, Samurai Champloo, FMA, Hellsing, Code Geass, Black Lagoon, Monster, Genshiken, Ghost in the Shell etc.

You know - animation with an actual story that is not aimed at teenagers?

Oh and I would say it is Berserk - it is hard to make something that depressing.

Berserk is nice but not that depressing... Grave of Fireflies - that's what I call depressing.
Best anime series I ever watched: Cowboy Bebop - those who like Firefly would like it I guess. Good anime with deeper message: Ergo Proxy, NG Evangelion. Something dark but easier? Noir, Witch Hunter Robin, Death Note.

Non-Japanese  animated series? Tom & Jerry always makes me laugh, no matter how many times I watch it. There's also one cartoon very underrated and very difficult to find nowadays: Mad Jack the Pirate - I liked it very much smile

But yeah, Simpsons, Futurama, South Park and Family Guy - those are and will remain on the top of the list.

Re: Favorite animated series?

I picked Futurama but since it's return it has been pretty crap.  Archer would be my fav current series but the best series ever? Avatar the last Air Bender !  followed closely by Aeon Flux.... and The Tick

This is a hard one [especially if you count anime, which I will not in this case] there are so many good animated series from Batman: The Animated Series to Finale Space but I'd have to go with Avatar the Last Airbender !
