A bystander who intervenes to help a woman being harassed by a group of men becomes the target of a vengeful drug lord.

I didn't have this much FUN with this much VIOLENCE in a long time! big_smile IMDb lists this as "Action, Crime, Thriller", but there's a lot of Comedy too. Current IMDb rating is a solid 7.6/10.

Bob Odenkirk is fantastic, and Christopher Lloyd is great too!

David Mansell: You brought a lot of Russians.

I had already watched 2/3 of the movie when I found out that mastermind Ilya Naishuller is behind it! (Hardcore Henry (2015), anyone? cool)

I only just now learned that Ilya also shot the (maybe) most violent music video of all times, Biting Elbows - 'Bad Motherfucker' Official Music Video. smile

Enjoyed it, good mindless fun.

We loved it because Odenkirk is not known as an action hero (AFAIK). They also left it open for a sequel or two. Did you all see the tiny epilogue within the credits?

Question:

Spoiler

I'm not sure I understand the retrieval of the kitty bracelet. Did one of the guys in black have it and dropped it, or was it never stolen in the first place and got lost under the couch?

That's what we thought - it doesn't make sense otherwise. Thanks for confirming that!

Good film, I liked it.

DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".

This movie was amazing!  I loved it!  Thoroughly satisfying, start to finish.  Doc Emmett L. Brown with a gun; just can't beat that!
