Nope, I can't ... For many reasons, but mostly because it's not yet anywhere close to where I want it to be

I´m sure it will turn out great though! Keep up the good work! 1,453 2020-11-11 00:11:41Re: Features/Improvements RequestsOne big suggestion. Please confirm either a show has been canceled or finished. Not Canceled/Finished 1,454 2020-11-11 05:28:40Re: Features/Improvements RequestsUnfortunately there is no way to (automatically and reliably) know which show was finished and which - cancelled. Sure, it can be done for some shows, manually, but can it be done for enough to be useful? Cheers! 1,455 2020-11-12 22:19:42Re: Features/Improvements Requestssantah wrote:
I guess sure, if the users could help you with it somehow. I, for one, would love it if there was a difference between Cancelled and Ended. If an interesting series that I haven't watched yet gets cancelled, I often just skip starting it, since I hate having a series end on a cliffhanger that's never finished. That being said, the actual difference between a Cancelled series and an Ended one, is super vague. Almost all series get cancelled, really. 1,456 2020-11-12 22:35:28Re: Features/Improvements RequestsArniVidar wrote:
Not really, there's definitely a distinct difference. Fox were famous for cancelling shows that cried out for a proper ending. Now it seems that Netflix are pretty bad too. I much prefer it when the writers know that it's the last season, which allows them to (hopefully) write a decent ending that wraps everything up. And then there was Lost... 2020. Meh.
1,457 2020-11-12 23:33:20Re: Features/Improvements RequestsDistinct? How? When you have series like John Doe, however, where you write an entire suspense series and literally end the last episode entirely unresolved, on a cliffhanger, with the words: "To be continued..." and then don't get picked up for a second season? Now THAT's what I would call a cancellation rather than an ending. Really, the distinction between a series ending and being cancelled could either be considered the difference between the show writers deciding to quit, or the studio quitting them, OR it could be considered the difference between when the show writers get a head's up at the start of the season, or only find out after the last episode is aired. Again.. not clear at all. 1,458 2020-11-17 08:36:45Re: Features/Improvements RequestsThis has probably been suggested at some point but I'm too lazy to read 59 pages to see. Would it be possible to move to a 10 star rating system and just double the ratings that've been previously entered? Or would that be too difficult to redesign? The 5-star is really a bit inadequate as I end up rating way too many things 3 stars that were just ok. I know 2 is supposed to be for just ok but then it looks like you're saying the show was below average. I've felt this inadequacy quite a bit of late as there have been several shows where I'm the only/first person rating. 1,459 2020-11-17 10:22:39Re: Features/Improvements RequestsYeah - a 10 star rating system was suggested before. While updating our system to use 10 star rating instead of 5 wouldn't be too complicated (I can probably switch to it in about a day) I don't believe it would be an actual upgrade. If you google around there are many posts on the internet discussing the advantages (and disadvantages) of the 5 star system, but for me - it's mostly about simplicity and giving the user an easy (or easier) choice so they're more inclined to actually use the feature. And for now - it looks like it works well ... I hope it makes sense. 1,460 2020-11-17 12:06:31Re: Features/Improvements RequestsFair enough 1,461 2020-11-22 19:13:16Re: Features/Improvements RequestsHello. Lesiu141

1,467 2020-11-24 16:42:56Re: Features/Improvements RequestsIt is not about the amount of work, but rather if the potential usefulness makes is worth the added complexity of UI and underlying code. 1,468 2020-11-24 23:14:35Re: Features/Improvements Requestssantah wrote:

1,469 2020-11-30 04:43:28Re: Features/Improvements RequestsCould we have an easy-to-see and easy to use link to renew our subscription, please? Every year I flap around and end up emailing Santah to renew. He has better things to do. PS - It's time for me to renew. Like now. 1,470 2020-11-30 06:26:44Re: Features/Improvements RequestsTeaAndApathy wrote:
Hey there. The subscription renews automatically (unless cancelled). You can easily check your subscription status directly in your PayPal account (where the pre-approved payments are). I checked and your subscription is active so it'll automatically renew in a few days. One of the reasons I love this site. I'd still like a way to check my subscription status and renewal options from here instead of Paypal because I *know* I'll get anxious again next year. 1,472 2020-12-10 04:35:14 (edited by cruzin_4fun 2020-12-10 04:41:47)Re: Features/Improvements RequestsHey Santah, I appreciate all the hard work you and your team put into the site and that your so open to your users ideas. I have a few suggestions. First can you add the shows air time and channel to the Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday list in mobile view. Also can you allow rating in Watchlist and Browse instead of having to open the shows page. Can you please update the appearance of My Movies area to look like the Browse Movies area or even like it looks in the app. I understand that the site is geared towards TV but the Movie area should look just as good as the rest of the site. What I would love to see is a more full integration using one search bar for both and Browse the same way with a tab or drop down menu to switch between TV and Movies and add where to stream links as well. Thanks for taking the time to consider these suggestions. Cruzin ps why can't you use an imbd url to make requests for shows when you use links to their site? Cruzin

You mean you want to see the movies in a list formatted the same way the Browse Movies list is? cruzin_4fun wrote:
Because the episode schedules come from thetvdb.com and tvmaze.com. We cannot get that from imdb. Cheers! 1,475 2020-12-10 12:30:37Re: Features/Improvements Requestssantah wrote:
Definitely, under no circumstance, change the List view to a Details view like the Browse Movies area. If you're gonna change it, please add it as a drop down option. I wouldn't mind that as an option as well, but the List and the Posters views need to stay Posts: 1,451 to 1,475 of 1,858Forums - Next Episode → Site comments/suggestions → Features/Improvements Requests |
