3x1! DAMN! I want ...

Spoiler

... that birdie alarm clock! And that bed! And that 'tooth brush'! And that 'office' (if the chair is comfortable)! big_smile big_smile

THIS is sci-fi! <3

But wasn't it a bit silly to show them walking on those rocks near the waterfall, surrounded by water!?

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

well season 3 looks very promising. BY the way the black guy is Manchester Black from Supergirl. Looks very much the same.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

Well, that episode was nice. Here's hoping they finally find their footing.

The opening scene kinda reminded me of Farscape, altho the direction it's currently headed seems to be rather close to Andromeda, which I guess is somewhat adjacent to Star Trek to begin with...

He was also the captain on Nightflyers. His character here seems to be a mixture of both.

It is a very nice alarm clock.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

really liked the first episode. Let's see where they take this now

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

Some-one beat me to it about the same story line as Andromeda - resurrecting the Federation in this case, based around a single starship from the past. I hope it doesnt follow too much in those footsteps as that would be sad. I wonder if thats where they got the idea from or genuinely parallel inspiration. I think a better  story line would have been to continue the AI  threat in some way.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

More great news for us Trekkie fans, including the spin offs, the more the better for me.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

Can't wait for Anson Mount's Trek series.

209

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

It's getting better by the espisode.

210

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

I should have also mentioned that it was directed by Jonathan Frakes no less

211

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

This makes for some good reading. If you haven't seen episode 3 don't look at the page.

ah so it has gone woke, what a shame. Supergirl went downhill when that happened.

213

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

s3 e04 turned this series to plain unwatchable concentration of unnecessary wokeness. very disappointed.

I think it is getting a bit slow. Where is all the space opera of the trailers at the end we keep on getting? disappointing. It is starting to go the way of Picard. I dont care about the short haired kid and her memory problems and certainly not about the actors real like problems

215

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

Isn't it wierd how we're all different.  I don't care for all the "woke" agenda nonsense, but I definitely think this is the best season so far.  I liked Picard too.

2020.  Meh.

216

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

the first 2 episodes of season 3 were awesome. the last episode was just annoying with the short haired kid's daddy issues and with the gay doctor poking around and trying to get under everyones skin.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

Was surprised to see the friendly Goa'uld make an appearance lol

I mean it's just the actors, the show didn't touch on it in any significant way. This one is on you, buddy.

Absolutely.

The story was a run-of-the-mill scifi allegory about the perils of being scared of anyone who is different to you. Star Trek (and pretty much every other scifi show you can name) has used the same storyline over and over again in every series going back to TOS.

Perhaps view the episode as a learning opportunity big_smile

just came here to let off some steam smile you're right about the actors, found the new kids sort of annoying and ruining the show for me a little bit.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

any one think the evil AI will be back some time? At the start that near bald headed woman fingered her attachment on the side of her head. I was wondering if the AI had moved in there

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

I sure did enjoy the latest episode
