Topic: Truth Seekers
https://next-episode.net/truth-seekers
Truth Seekers centers on a pair of paranormal investigators, Gus and Dave, who take out haunted churches, underground bunkers, and abandoned hospitals using an array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos and share their adventures on an online channel. Their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, terrifying, and even deadly as the pair begin to uncover a conspiracy that could threaten the entire human race.
Haven't seen it yet but when Simon Pegg and Nick Frost team up, it's usually not bad.

Yeah, that made me add it to my list when I first heard about the show. It doesn't mean it's going to be good 100%, but the probability is high.

I 'll save that for later viewing. What tv series have they made before, I can only recall the films they were in which were all good. ( eg Hot Fuzz)

They made 3 movies: "Shaun of the Dead", "Hot Fuzz" und "The World's End" and i believe one TV series "Spaced" some time ago. So they are not that proven yet in TV shows and i just read that Edgar Wright the director of all 3 movies was not involved aswell, so we will see how it turned out.

...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: Truth Seekers
I couldnt wait so I have watched 3 eps and it seems to be a cross between Ghostbusters and X Files. Not bad but no Simon Pegg at the moment ( did he just write it?). If he doesnt turn up that will be a loss as it was the duo that made the fun?

Isn't Simon the guy on top in the poster, so he should turn up sometime in it.

Ah? He's been in every episode. He's the bloke in the wig - Guss's boss at Smyle.
2020. Meh.

hmm dont think so. I think he's the bad guy. What ever his looks have changed from the films? I've now finished it and the show morphs from a pedestrian Ghostbuster/X files into something else? Quite good. some nice ideas.

I liked it. Their usual humour style so if you usually like their stuff you'll like this.

Re: Truth Seekers
I knew I had to watch it when I saw an advert with Nick Frost's picture. I had to think a moment where I knew him (umm, was it Game of Thrones?) which I realized was Into the Badlands. Really enjoy his character. I binged it too fast but it was entertainment. Programs are scarce these days it seems like.

According to IMDb Simon Pegg plays "Dave" and has been in 7 episodes.

Re: Truth Seekers
Finished season 1. Pretty harmless fun, rated it 7/10. Let's see if the show gets another season, no decision has been made it seems.

Re: Truth Seekers
If you want to see Truth Seekers' "Elton John" actor Samson Kayo in a completely different role, check out the trailer for https://next-episode.net/bloods. IMHO he couldn't really shine in the confines of his Truth Seekers character.

Re: Truth Seekers
I just watched this show and love it! Also I love Simon and Nick together. I am not sure why it was canceled because it's super funny and entertaining! Please bring it back if not to Amazon Prime...try Netflix or some other streaming app. Amazing show!!! --- lighton comment: There was already a thread for this show (see https://next-episode.net/truth-seekers --> More Info: Forum), so I merged both threads.

Yep, I found it quite funny and was surprised it didn't rate a second season.

I found it funny enough to keep watching, but was relieved that it didn't get renewed. It was a bit too cheap for my taste.
