Topic: Tenet [Christopher Nolan, sci-fi action] - great new trailer!
TENET - NEW TRAILER https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3pk_TBkihU John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle “Tenet.” Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion. The international cast of “Tenet” also includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, with Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. Nolan wrote and directed the film, utilizing a mixture of IMAX® and 70mm film to bring the story to the screen. “Tenet” is produced by Emma Thomas and Nolan. Thomas Hayslip served as executive producer. Nolan’s behind-the-scenes creative team included director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema, production designer Nathan Crowley, editor Jennifer Lame, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson, and special effects supervisor Scott Fisher. The score is composed by Ludwig Göransson. “Tenet” was filmed on location across seven countries. Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Syncopy Production, a Film by Christopher Nolan, “Tenet.” Warner Bros. Pictures is distributing “Tenet” worldwide and has slated the film for a July 17, 2020 release. www.Tenetfilm.com
I searched for and found the previous trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdOM0x0XDMo) but the new one is SO much better IMHO. Reminded me of Inception, very promising! And fitting the "Not time travel" theme: when I tried to add it to my https://next-episode.net/movies/ list I found out I had already added it but don't remember it at all.

The trailer did not convince me yet but of course i'm gonna watch it, because it's a new Christopher Nolan movie.

Did anyone happen to catch that when it said the revolutionary director of the Dark Knight trilogy the next person showed was Rob. Pat. who is the next Bat. [timecode 0:51]
...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Ha! I missed that, but then I also didn't know who is the next Batman. After seeing your reply and realizing that... ...I watched TENET Trailer Breakdown! Nolan Time Concept Explained! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHDIdfJxQFI That was good (based on trailer #1)! And it made me rewatch the Dunkirk trailer. I skipped that movie 2017 but will now watch it, which means I'll have watched everything Nolan directed over the last 20 years, with only Insomnia (2002) as an exemption (trailer isn't doing it for me).

Cool. I will check this one out. lighton wrote:And fitting the "Not time travel" theme: when I tried to add it to my https://next-episode.net/movies/ list I found out I had already added it but don't remember it at all.
Sounds to me like your other personality from the Framework temporarily resurfaced. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. And YES, please do watch Dunkirk when you get a chance. It was that good IMO. To quote Manohla Dargis from The New York Times, "‘Dunkirk’ Is a Tour de Force War Movie, Both Sweeping and Intimate".

Not sure what i was expecting from "Dunkirk" but after Memento, Prestige, Inception and Interstellar, Dunkirk felt a bit like a letdown, it was no "Platoon" and imo one of the weaker movies i have seen from Nolan but i havent seen them all.

I found out that there was an earlier TENET logo that was way cooler. See https://www.instagram.com/p/B6Rj2OanvQW/ - and for some background info: Warner Bros. Changes Logo For ‘Tenet’ After Accusations of Christopher Nolan Stealing Design From Bike Component Company https://theplaylist.net/christopher-nol … -20200523/ I agree with one of the comments:
Bit annoying that a logo which was better for this film had to be changed for some obscure cycling shop which 99.9999999% of the world will never come across.

I've now watched it. I don't regret it. Like the guy in the "TENET Trailer Breakdown!" said, it also has time as a theme, bringing together (fighting on/in) land, water and air in the story. And I loved how intensely they've used sound to make the fight scenes more emotional. Pretty unique. Yeah, it was no Memento, Inception or Interstellar, but still worth watching. 8/10.

Re: Tenet [Christopher Nolan, sci-fi action] - great new trailer!
Parts of the movie were filmed on the road I use to go to work. There are even a couple of scenes in the trailers (car chase where the cars drive backwards) and maaaaaaan, it is pretty trippy, feels like reality and fantasy melding together.

Overall disappointing but still enjoyable...its no Inception. Great special effects and very interesting concept but way too much dialogue that was too muffled to understand. Honestly, If you have a decent home setup, wait for streaming and turn the subtitles on.

Hmm... okay. I still haven't decided whether to watch it on the big screen or to wait for streaming... Trailer says big screen! Corona masks say streaming.
