Re: Silicon Valley
Again, wow... never watched a show that I loved that much!
I think there is actually a term for it called "Comfort Binge".
You watch shows you already know and enjoyed, and when you watch them again, this time it's not primarily about being entertained or surprised but to see familiar voices, characters, plots and know what to expect.
When you start to watch new stuff, you have to get used to new characters, dynamics, plots ect, so you have to built a new "bond" and make more effort.
"Comfort Binge" creats a feeling of comfort and is less work, so basicly minimum effort for maximum enjoyment.

Interesting... I guess I'm not looking for comfort but for novelty, and am willing to invest the effort.

Silicon Valley may have had the greatest assemblage of brilliantly and hilariously written individual characters I can think of from a TV show since MASH. Most shows are lucky if they manage 1 or 2, this show had at least 6.

While that wasn't a cameo I always enjoyed the absurdness of the character.
