Hey bvereshagen, that show is currently linked to thetvdb and they have the same status (ended). You could edit the series if you have an account over at thetvdb. Unless you're 100% sure the series is continuing, otherwise, I would wait to make sure. Once you do that, your changes will reflect here as well.

No problem. Once a release date is set and announced, I'll eventually add the season five info over at thetvdb, unless someone else beats me to it. Once that is done, those changes will eventually sync here as well, and people who have Last Tango in Halifax in their watchlist should receive the season five premiere date notification alert. If you run into any early release info regarding the upcoming season please feel free to post it here or in the forum.

Yeah, me too. I did even bother to watch Runaways because the trailer, synopsis and overall material just didn't resonate with me, and Cloak & Dagger was a chore to watch. I dragged myself through the mud for completion purposes and was glad to hear it got cancelled. I probably won't even watch the crossover event. tongue

In the age of lots and lots of good shows I say: screw completion purposes! big_smile I used to aim for (at least) season completion too, now I'm more ruthless. cool

Oh trust me, I'm already there. There were some shows that I stopped watching after a couple of episodes, and some more or less. Funny you should mention this because I'm in the process of trimming the fat from my watchlist. A lot of stuff that ends up as backwash (every year) at some point is getting deleted. I don't care about unresolved events, cliffhangers or completion purposes. It's adios! big_smile

The 2019 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Is Canceled: 'We're Figuring Out How to Advance the Brand'

After months of speculation, Victoria’s Secret executives confirmed that the 2019 fashion show is canceled.

Stuart B. Burgdoerfer, chief financial officer and executive vice president of L Brands (the parent company of Victoria’s Secret) announced the news during a conference call with analysts on Thursday morning, as first reported by Women’s Wear Daily.

[...]

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show launched in 1995 and soon became synonymous with supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen and Miranda Kerr hitting the runway in elaborate lingerie, wings and sleepwear designs year after year. It was first broadcasted on television in 2001 on ABC. The event was then broadcasted on CBS from 2002 to 2017, returning to ABC last year.

While Burgdoerfer says the brand will still be “communicating to customers,” he maintained that right now any immediate marketing plans are not “similar in magnitude to the fashion show.”

“But you can be sure we’ll be communicating with customers through lots of vehicles including social media and various, more current platforms,” he concluded.

Despite it’s longevity, the company has seen a steady decline in sales since 2016, and according to CNBC, the 2018 fashion show had the worst ratings in the history of the show’s broadcast.

Sanditon's fate confirmed by ITV

ITV won't be bringing back Sanditon for a second series, the broadcaster confirmed earlier today (December 11).

The eight-part drama, based on Jane Austen's unfinished novel of the same name, sadly didn't get the green light to finish the story of Austen's heroic character Charlotte Heywood.

The cancellation was confirmed by Radio Times, with an ITV spokesperson telling the publication: "We loved Sanditon and we were very proud to have it on ITV.

"We would have loved it to return, but unfortunately we just didn't get the audience that would make that possible for us, which is heartbreaking for everybody involved in this wonderful adaptation."

Sweetbitter: Cancelled; No Season Three for Starz Dramedy Series

Television can be a bittersweet business, full of cancellations and renewals. This time around, Sweetbitter has ended up getting the short end of the stick. Starz has cancelled the low-rated dramedy series after two seasons.

[...]

The first season of Sweetbitter averaged just a 0.06 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 164,000 viewers. The second season averaged a 0.03 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 93,000 viewers. Compared to the first season, that’s down by 54% and 44%, respectively.

While the ratings were quite low, the cancellation is still a bit of a surprise since it was produced by Starz’s corporate parent, Lionsgate. The 14th and final episode of Sweetbitter aired on August 18th.

No, not a person on the cast, but the show’s theme song is being cut from before the series due to “time constaints.” Justina Machado, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Todd Grinnell are all returning for the new season.

It’s one-and-done for the musical drama series Soundtrack at Netflix. The Internet TV network has canceled the series after one season, Deadline has confirmed.

Soundtrack (fka Mixtape) had previously gone to pilot at Fox before it was picked up to series by Netflix.

‘Spinning Out’ Canceled By Netflix After One Season

Netflix has canceled competitive figure skating drama Spinning Out after one season. The decision comes a little over a month after Spinning Out‘s January 1 release, consistent with Netflix’s practice of evaluating a month worth of viewership data before making a renewal decision on bubble shows.

[...]
Spinning Out’s cancellation comes on the heels of Netflix’s decision not to proceed with another freshman drama series, Soundtrack. Both landed series orders at the streamer after originating on traditional networks — Soundtrack on Fox and Spinning Out on Pop.

Netflix, which goes straight-to-series on all of its shows, examines viewing (and awards recognition) vs. cost for each show when making a renewal decision.

‘The Crown’: Netflix Royal Drama To End With Season Five As Imelda Staunton Confirmed As Final Queen Elizabeth II

The Crown is set to end with its fifth season with Imelda Staunton taking on the role of Queen Elizabeth.

The surprise news comes just after the premiere of season three of Netflix’s royal drama and ahead of season four of the Left Bank-produced series.

Staunton has been rumored to take on the role of Queen Elizabeth II for a couple of months and the streamer confirmed the casting as it pulled down the curtain on the series. Unlike Claire Foy or Olivia Colman, she will, however, only play Her Majesty for one season.

Creator Peter Morgan has long said that he imagined The Crown running for six seasons but today admitted that as he began working on stories for season five it “became clear… that this is the perfect time and place to stop. I’m grateful to Netflix and Sony for supporting me in this decision.”

‘Ray Donovan’ Canceled By Showtime After 7 Seasons; Won’t Get Final Season 8

Showtime’s drama series Ray Donovan starring Liev Schreiber will not be getting a final chapter. The Season 7 finale — which is now a series finale — aired on January 19.

“After seven incredible seasons, Ray Donovan has concluded its run on Showtime,” the network said in a statement. “We are proud that the series ended amid such strong viewership and on such a powerful note. Our deepest thanks go to Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight, showrunner David Hollander and the entire cast and crew, past and present, for their dedicated work.”

At TCA last month, Showtime’s Co-President of Entertainment Gary Levine admitted that the fixer drama was “nearing the end of its run”. He said at the time that the network was expected to make a decision on the future of the  show “in the next few weeks” but hinted that it may get an eighth and final season. That’s what Showtime did for another long-running series, Shameless, renewed last month for an 11th and final season.

“I think Ray Donovan is nearing the end of its run,” Levine told Deadline on Jan. 13, ahead of the show’s Season 7 finale. “We always talked about seven or eight seasons. Nothing has been decided yet but it’s fair to say it is nearing the end,” Levine said.

In an ominous sign, Schreiber took to social media following the Jan. 19 finale, thanking fans for their love and support and urging them to reach out to Showtime if they want to see an eighth season. “Either way it’s been an amazing ride and we have all of you to thank for it,” he wrote on Jan. 21.

The show isn't for me, but I find it interesting that even though it got good IMDb ratings, they don't seem to believe the show will pull in more subscribers/ will add enough value for existing subscribers to renew it.

Then there is https://next-episode.net/v-wars, a show with quite average ratings, which aired a month earlier but hasn't been renewed or canceled yet. Is that a sign that they consider renewing it/ haven't decided what to do with it yet?

And there's also https://next-episode.net/the-i-land - a show that I really enjoyed watching. It aired September 2019, it didn't do so good at IMDb, but has only been canceled inofficially.
