Topic: How many TV shows are you currently watching?
Including Cancelled or Ended shows that you might be binging, as well as running series, how many different shows are you watching every week ? I'm usually watching 10-12 different series each week....

Re: How many TV shows are you currently watching?
Yeah, I probably fluctuate between 10 and 15, depending on how much time I have for shows. And I never binge-watch, I'm a connaisseur.

Right now just these: Queen of the South Elementary The 100 Shameless Fear the Walking Dead plus 55 more which I have in Plex and I'm "watching" them further from time to time or drop them eventually.

Ha! A better question for me would be, "How many shows are you just collecting and hope to watch when you have time?"

The right answer is always between too many and not enough.
...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Ha, I hear you and know how that can be. And...With today's access, watching everything we desired would be a full time job.

Ha, too many to keep up with, that's why I'm constantly placing seasons/episodes on the back burner to watch at a later time. It's a constant shuffle, especially during the Fall TV season. It's all good in the end though.

Yeah that's why I'm curious. There is so SO much out there on television with multiple paths to view, I wonder if avid watchers run out of quality content or simply can't keep up. Obviously, time restraints vary from person to person as well. I have a tough time keeping up with 10-12 per week, but there have been periods where in addition to that, I would binge 4 - 7 seasons to get caught up with newly discovered shows. I kind of expected 10 to be on the low end, with some ppl claiming up to 20 or more. When I'm binge watching a show, it's easily 5-7 episodes per day, up to 50 episodes in a week. I didn't watch TV for about 15 years, so I've had a lot of catching up to do. I keep finding a new "old show" that has multiple seasons under its belt. Ideally, I'd like to limit it to 10-12 episodes per week. Right now I have at least 11 different shows at a time currently airing the same week. Probably another 15 or so that are returning series awaiting a new season premiere. If they all aired during the same time of year it would be a much higher total, ya know what I mean ?

Re: How many TV shows are you currently watching?
A great way how to save time is to skip some major series For example, I have not seen House and Games of Thrones - just these two together are 249 episodes.

Re: How many TV shows are you currently watching?
I tried to watch 3x ep1 of GoT, got bored. switched to more interesting shows, never came back Also when I realised that you need a flowchart to follow that show, I decided that I can break my brain at work, no need to do that also while watching TV: https://i.imgur.com/6gDsi.jpg

I get your point. But to be fair, you could make a flow chart like that for any TV show with more than 2 seasons.

Re: How many TV shows are you currently watching?
Arrow is the other one that I dropped purely because of the number of episodes, for me it stopped being interesting after the S01 and till today it already has 160 episodes + upcoming season. Plus I'm doing archery and cringe at half of the bow shooting scenes

@ HomerS: yeah, cool guy, I've stumbled upon him in the past. I'm still with g371 here, I gave up Arrow after two seasons because of the somewhat wooden acting, and because other shows I liked better came along.

Haha. Interesting. I have watched a ton of shows in the last year or two, trust me, but you probably wouldn't believe which ones I have skipped. Most from my watch list (that you have seen) I've completed, although several I have not. For Example : The Sopranos (only 2 or 3 ep's)...House (2 or 3 ep's) ...GOT (1 or 2 ep's)… Walking Dead (0 ep's)… Lost (1 or 2 ep's)...Stranger Things (ONE ep)...The Wire (0 ep's)...Twin Peaks (0 ep's)...Sharp Objects (0 ep's)...Killing Eve (0 ep's)… 24 (0 ep's)...House of Cards (1 ep)...Queen of the South (0 ep's)… Breaking Bad (0 ep's)... It's just incredible how many I HAVE watched and how many I still HAVEN'T watched. Keep in mind I didn't watch TV for about 15 years ! Lots of great shows (and not so great) have come and gone. I should list the 12 I am currently on, but I'll save that for my next reply. I bet if you named a dozen more shows, other than my list of shows not seen, that I have either seen, or am currently watching more than 50% of what you mention.

If you've found GoT challenging, please never, never, never watch the Primer movie (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390384/)! Someone tried to make sense of the timelines here:
Someone else showed how others perceived it:

Re: How many TV shows are you currently watching?
Well, my Watching Now tag has 34 TV series with generally another 8-12 Anime series constantly going over on Anidb. So, basically, about 40 series that I'm obviously not watching. Then my To Watch Soon tag is another 82 series, and the To Watch tag a further 53 series. So all in all, I'm doing a piss-poor job at watching TV!
