Topic: Trailer button in Android app requires YouTube app
Hey santah, been a while. So, I've got the pro version of the Android app, and I like it for the most part. It has all the functionality I want from a mobile app, which is great.
Recently I started using an app called NewPipe. It's basically a different frontend for viewing YouTube videos. It's waaay better in my opinion, as it allows for background playback and downloading of videos, all without having any ads.
My problem however is that your app tries to open the YouTube app when I tap the trailer button for a show. However, I have disabled this app and clicking the button results in a message saying something along the lines of 'This app is disabled. Click here to enable it.'
Is there a possibility you could change the way it tries to open the YouTube app? I'm guessing you have an intent explicitly opening the YouTube app. Can't you change the behavior to open a YouTube URL instead? Let the OS decide with what app to open the URL.
