Topic: Are you bored with Arrow yet?

Flash and Legends (I know not everyone likes these) are good shows

I stopped watching Arrow mid season 3

Nothing really cool happens

Compare this to Flash, which constantly re-invents its left (although I am getting bored with a new HR each season)

Legends, openly disparaged here, is inventive

Best DC shows have to be these two but oddly my tracker shows more popular to be Arrow and Agent's with their by the book hit something storylines

Shows decline (Arrow and Agents being of note)

I reckon they should take their lead from the examples set by Flash + Legends which provide almost cinematic experience for the viewer

I now expect a load of flames smile

Flames? No, each to their own.

I do have to disagree about Legends. I watched a good part of the 1st series and the acting was so appalling I actually couldn't bring myself to finish the season. It also had annoying anachronisms sprinkled through it - never a good thing in a show about time travel.

I feel sorry for DC comics fans. TV has produced some real low quality stuff when compared to the Marvel adaptations, which is unfortunate, because I felt the DC characters were always far more nuanced and suitable for adult adaptations than the 1 dimensional Marvel heroes.

I also stopped watching Arrow but since this season. Flash is still awesome and Legends did improve quite a bit.

Agreed and now forget everything you just said and continue with season 2, it got much better.

Same here, watched some REALLY dodgy fighting scene and switched that shit off quick time!

Re: Are you bored with Arrow yet?

TBH Arrow does not seem appealing anymore....same Batman like stories.

Agents of SHIELD got my attention back with the last LMD episode (Self Control- 4X15) though, SO MANY TWISTS!!!

Re: Are you bored with Arrow yet?

Wife and I dropped both Flash and Arrow after 3-4 eps this season. It was beginning to feel repetative, we both got bored of them really... We now "only" follow TWD, GOT, TBBT and The 100. We're not sure about Grimm, we'll give it a few eps of this season and see if we like it smile

I lost interest in Arrow after season 4.
The Legends lost me after season 2. Though I have seen half season 3, and did not like what happened to Rip Hunter.

Really liked the crossover episodes with Supergirl, Flash, Arrow and Legends.

Re: Are you bored with Arrow yet?

Like some of you. I lost interest in Arrow after the first 2 seasons. I watched part of 3 then just gave up. Quite honestly, I just didn't like either Ollie or the Arrow. Plus, i felt like if I heard the phrase, " I want to save my city!" one more time out of his mouth i think I'd puke on the TV. You all probably picked up on it before me, but "saving the city", seems to be the catch all excuse for why super heroes do what they do. I never noticed it before the Arrow said it at least a dozen times per episode!

The Flash didn't even make it 10 episodes for me. I think the target audience age for that one was like 9-12 years old. Nothing wrong with it, I think it's perfect for middle school age kids.  It's just not made for adults. I have watched the occasional episode between that first season and now, but it hasn't changed, which is probably a good thing.  I still am amazed at the numbers it pulls in though.

I started Legends and quit pretty quick. Then, I believe I watched an episode at the end of the 2cd season and was kinda surprised. It was like it had all of a sudden gotten interesting. I've been watching on and off since then. It has most definitely gotten better with age.

My opinion is that the super heroes TV era has just about had it. Netflix and Marvel might be the exception. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Punisher, and the Defenders, are all pretty good TV . Luke Cage is also good, but his first 2 solo seasons bored me to death. But his team up stuff is tremendous.

Bottom line, when they cancel the Arrow, I won't be shedding any tears....

You can like and dislike whatever you want, I'm not going to try and change your mind at all and in fact you share many of my thought but the end of the TV era?...are you kidding? Both Disney (Marvel)  and DC are both bringing out there own streaming services which will be driven primarily by their new superhero shows.....the era is just starting.

Whether they will be any good or not is another discussion.

also Legion was pretty good if you missed it and thought the Arrowverse is too childish.

thats funny.  i kinda liked the first season.  OK, i watched it, and it showed promise at times...

but 2nd one was just ok, and i dropped it.

most other superhero tv shows marvel or DC - i quit halfway though the pilot...
