Topic: Source for TV shows' episode-per-season count?

What is the best (most accurate) source to find out the number of episodes that have been approved for a current season.

Example: Elementary https://next-episode.net/elementary is on it's sixth year, and the next episode is number 9.
I'd like to know if there are 24 episodes approved for this season, matching the previous five seasons.
Other shows vary quite a bit, how many actually get aired.

And sometimes, Next-Episode will display on their Season and Episode page, that it's a "Season Finale"or "Series Finale", and I'd like to know where this information comes from.

Thanks!

Next Episode doesn't show "Season Finale" or "Series Finale".

With that said - tvmaze.com has episode orders for some of the more popular shows:

Look them up there.
