Topic: TWD lost the thrill I know how to bring it back!

Most of the time TWD is just boring and lame.
What's there to be really afraid of? Sure, the saviors but they're nothing which makes you
sit in front of the screen feeling like you're about to soil your pants.

I am talking about being scared shitless. REAL horror and suspense!
This is something which TWD doesn't have at all.

The walkers aren't scary at all and they start to really annoy me. If it was up to me they could just entirely
drop them from the show. They hardly have a purpose anymore.

What the show needs is some fresh air, something which nobody would have expected!

I had a quick brainstorming and came up with a few ideas, feel free to contribute your own ideas on how to
save TWD from going completely down the toilet.

Scenario 1:

All of a sudden a new breed of zombies pops up. These zombies have very different features. They are more rare
but also much more deadly. They're called "Runners". If a normal person is infected she turns into a walker.
BUT if a very athletic person, like a bodybuilder or sprinter, gets infected they do not turn into mere walkers, only
at first!
After a while their surpreme genetics gain the overhand and then they start to metamorphose into the Runners.

The difference between the walkers and the runners is that the runners actually run. They are damn fast! They can also
jump real high and climb over fences. And they also aren't as stupid as the walkers. The runners know tactics and they
also communicate. They hunt in numbers + they also know how to manipulate and steer walkers into different directions
using them as a tool.
They also know how to use psychological warfare. They taunt humans with laughing sounds and obscene gestures every
time they make a kill. Some of them for example like ripping their victim's heads off only to simulate oral sex for pure shock value. They're absolutely vicious. Since they're so fast and athletic they're very hard to kill.

Faced with this terrible new threat Rick and Neagan are forced to team up. Ezekiel also decides to join forces.
Now it's about survival.

The runners want to wipe out Alexandria and kill every human left. They've masterfully led an army of walkers right
to the doors of Alexandria.

Rick, Neagan, Ezekiel and the others only have very little time to prepare for the battle which is about to come.

Neagan's got nothing on her.

Fk Neagan Walkers and oral sex just give us the usuall 2 more episodes in an epic extra gorish battle between saviors, rest and walkers and close the series. It would be the best for all of us!

So your solution is to make it a comedy?

Better then a drama still.

Well.. Robert Kirkmans intention was actually to make a drama, kind of. In his foreword in vol.1 of the comics he explains that he never cared much for the zombie genre because you never got to see what happened AFTER "The end of the world".
I think that his intention is to explore human behaviour when faced with the impossible.
The zombies are secondary to the humans, "other people" will always be the biggest threat and at the same time the thing you need to survive. How will society work? What is civilisation? How far will you go to survive? How much can a person handle before he turns into a monster? (and i don't mean a zombie). ex. Shane, The Governor, Negan - all the antagonists. But also Rick, Carl and the others.. (Shane). What makes us human?

Maybe you would enjoy the comics? wink wink.. I don't want to spoil anything.

Edit: I am so invested in these characters that i will keep watching no matter what. AS LONG AS THEY DON'T KILL DARYL!
