Re: Adblock message
How is your ability to use the site been disallowed?
Are you blocking the ads here and getting the popup? Simply allow the ads and you'll be able to use the site.

Re: Adblock messageThe way I see it you are the school yard bully Bully: "Either you give me your lunch money, or I am going to hit you until you give me your lunch money. Therefor it is your fault if I hit you. All you need to do is give me your lunch money and you will not get hit." Translation: "Either you make sure I get money for you being here, or I will make you unable to be here. Give me money and you can stay." If you want to make the site "pay to use" that is fine. Right now it is not, and I feel you are using bully tactics to try to force money out of people. There are nice ways to do things and there are mean ways. I feel like you decided to do it the mean way. I think it is an awful attitude and I think it is that lack of respect and bullying that is causing some people to be upset. I am sure by now you have noticed that, to my knowledge, no other site on the internet is doing this. Most have a small banner or "fake" add regarding ad blockers, but they still value all their users. Have you ever considered why? I think a lot can be learned from that thought. Re: Adblock messageYea, look, I'm not going to argue and discuss this topic with each user individually. You can read the posts in this thread and learn why this is done the way it is. Either the service is worth something to you to unblock the ads or get Premium - or it is not - in which case you can move to another service, worthy of your time. Ranting about how I'm the bad guy here and insulting me further is not something I'll tolerate in your future posts. Re: Adblock messagesantah wrote:
Google huh? I've been searching for a fix for a Windows 7 problem today, via Google but on another computer on my LAN (same external IP). Then I check NE on my usual machine and see ads that I've never seen before for companies offering fixes for almost exactly what I was searching for on the machine I was fixing. LOL. Like I'm going to trust a company who advertises via banner ads to help me fix Windows 7 update issues!! Re: Adblock messageNot using Adblock on your site but still getting the nag banner, maybe because I'm using Ghostery? Re: Adblock messageYes, Ghostery blocks the ads as well. Re: Adblock message***** **** has suspended your automatic payments. Contact ***** **** for more details or to reactivate your payments. Whats the deal Santah ? Re: Adblock messageCheck the details in PayPal. Most likely your card wasn't working at the time it tried to process a payment and the payment was suspended. Is the card linked to your PayPal in order? Re: Adblock messagesantah wrote:
Should be fine. Re: Adblock messageSo then simply re-subscribe? Re: Adblock messageHow long does it take for the paypal payment to go through? I just paid 2 hours ago but still do not see premium status, and seeing ads. Re: Adblock messageIt's instant. What is your PayPal email so I can investigate? You can message me directly in here if you don't want to expose that email publicly: Re: Adblock messagexrnzaaas wrote:
I am one of those people. I unblocked my adblock, and still am getting the message. I don't have the other blockers that were mentioned. Yes, it is having the opposite affect. I would like to discontinue my account, since I can't get through the message, but I can't because, again, I can't get through the message. Re: Adblock messageYou have something else on your system blocking the ads and triggering the message. This list, if you really go through it and check out each suggestion - usually is enough to find out what the issue is: https://next-episode.net/rundown.html If you don't want to find out what the problem on your system is and want to stop using Next Episode instead - just do that. Your account will automatically be terminated after some period of inactivity. Cheers! Re: Adblock messagesantah wrote:
I too have this same issue. When I use Waterfox I disable both Ghostery and uBlock Origin and I still get the nag window. Just sayin, something about your detection is setting off false positives and creates the nag screen regardless. Thanks for all the great work you do for the site tho. Re: Adblock messageIs it a false positive though? Do you see an ad under the popup window? Do you see ads if you're logged out? Re: Adblock messageI would like to remove my account, but the adblock popup is impossible to remove. This was a shitty move. Re: Adblock messageAndey wrote:
Possibly if you temporarily turn off your adblocking program? Re: Adblock messagesantah wrote:
That's the problem, I never had them turned on in the first place because I know you rely on them. Now this site is useless, sorry for the expression. Tried with both edge and chrome and still no success. Re: Adblock message96 2017-08-10 10:45:35 (edited by Andey 2017-08-10 10:55:24)Re: Adblock messagesantah wrote:
Yes indeed I have. I'll just move on, thanks though. Edit; it started working again, excellent Re: Adblock messageI've had Adblocker running for a long time and I have had next-episode.net whitelisted and not thought much about it. I started getting the nag about disabling adblock or becoming a member. I've gone through the list of possible reasons yet I still get the nag. I get it through either browser I use (Firefox and Chrome). I can access the site without issue with ADblocker disabled on my laptop. Difference between my desktop and laptop would be I go through a VPN in the desktop and not on the laptop. If that can make a difference? (I can't really shut it off as it cuts off all internet activity if it drops or doesn't connect) Re: Adblock messageYes. Some VPNs filter out ads and can be triggering the popup. Do you see the ads behind the popup? If not - they're blocked by your VPN. Check out Premium: https://next-episode.net/premium - it'll fix your issue and will give you tons of cool additional features. Let me know! Re: Adblock messageIf only there were more payment methods i could at least have a chance to go premium if i could afford it at the time. Re: Adblock messageYou could get Lifetime Premium with simply a credit card (also with bitcoin if you want, but you have to get in touch for that) ...
