From Rotten Tomatoes : 29%

"Critics Consensus: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice smothers a potentially powerful story -- and some of America's most iconic superheroes -- in a grim whirlwind of effects-driven action"

Re: Batman v Superman

I saw this movie last night (IMAX) - apart from a few flaws

+ show spoiler

like too many dream sequences and the fact that all it takes is for Superman to say "Martha" in order for Batman to fall in love with him

it was a great and enjoyable movie.

CGI was fantastic, a few plot holes (which I can handle), but all in all it was great seeing the two on screen together and Batfleck makes a (surprisingly!) incredible Batman. I will probably be seeing this movie again within the next week or so. Even to those that didnt enjoy it as much, its clear to me that this is a set up for the upcoming Justice League movies, and is an essential stepping stone to say the least.

I agree with the audience score, its not a perfect film, its probably not even a great film but it has more positive than negative. Just don't expect a MARVEL style movie.

Like Man of Steel, its just not what people were expecting going in so they come out somewhat disappointed, doesn't mean its terrible.

Re: Batman v Superman

It was a confused mess.  The story was weak, the plot holes abundant and... I could go on.

It did however improve drastically towards the end, for about 10 minutes when a certain heroin turned up.

It wasn't a shit film, but it was close.

That's the second biggest X I've ever seen.

I personally do not judge the quality of a film by how well it did at the box office.  All those figures show is how willing people are to see for themselves if it's good or not.  Batman Vs Superman as a concept was always going to interest a lot of people.  And once you've paid your money, it's too late.

That's the second biggest X I've ever seen.

Re: Batman v Superman

I don't know what plot holes people are talking about. Whenever I see these 'plot holes' mentioned, it seems mostly that the people mentioning them just weren't paying attention.

The only part of the movie that was bad was Lois...the same thing that was bad in MoS. She's an awful casting choice...and her character was poorly written in BvS.

Re: Batman v Superman

I'll give it a miss, gonna wait for Spiderman vs Wonderwoman.

Re: Batman v Superman

i liked batman(+alfred, bruce, batcave, batmobile) and action. i was even surprised how much i liked doomsday fight. it reminded me the fights in DC animations. i also liked how they did the superman as a godlike hero, whose humanity is unknown factor for public.
But besides these things (what seems like the most of it) i was bored most of the movie(the talky parts, except alfred and bruce talks) sad

Also i wasn't big fan of the dream sequences (like the flash timetravel part). And batman origins didint' seems to give anything new. I understand that it was used so we would know that bruce mom was martha.
And about "martha part". I was okay with that because for me it didn't show that "hey, our moms have same names", but first it put stop to batman being batman, and he started thinking instead of punching. And when he understood that godlike superman also has humanity in him.

And finally about Lex, he seemed too chaotic for me. and he mostly seemed to say tag lines or winks for the fans. "who wants to see clark fight batman" or "clark and bruce, finally meet" or something like that. i liked lex character (even if he's not the classical lex luther), but these winks for the fans really bothered me.

Re: Batman v Superman

Just incase anyone missed this deleted scene they released with Lex in the ship....why on earth they deleted this scene and kept some of the others in I'll never know....I think this would have helped.

Re: Batman v Superman

i didnt like the way batman just keeps murdering people. He was less liek batman and more like the punisher in the movie. All in all, its not a Bad movie. Just not a good movie either
