Apart from them being really annoying, that demo looks awsome
DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom". http://xkcd.com/488/

Re: Random gaming discussion
I just finished SOMA (new game from the authors of Amnesia) and to be honest I've got mixed feelings. The story was very good and I don't mind it had a similar ending to what I thought would happen. ▼Spoiler especially the part about creating copies was very easy to predict I also liked how there were a lot of interesting letters, reports etc. that weren't fillers and could actually help in figuring out what the hell is going on or in discovering some extra bits ▼Spoiler like what happened to Simon's girlfriend or to Earth itself The gameplay part is where it got dissapointing for me. I was hoping for a sci-fi horror game, not sci-fi with a drop of horror. There was no tension like when I was playing Alien Isolation (or Amnesia) and no constant feeling that I'm in a shitty situation and just prolonging the inevitable (and painful ) death. I didn't like the "monster" designs with the exception of the The puzzles were a mix of good and bad. I liked the environmental ones, but sadly they weren't in the majority. Overall this is a 7, maybe 7+/10 for me. I hoped for a different product and a one with more emphasis on delivering interesting gameplay and not just an intruguing story.

Re: Random gaming discussion
I'm not a big fan of Bethesda's RPG's so probably not. ;p Besides I've got other stuff on my radar for this year - Uncharted Collection and Just Cause 3.

Re: Random gaming discussion
By the way did anyone here play Wasteland 2? PS4 version is being released in October and I've read that they did a good job modifying the controls so the only question is does it play like the old Fallout games...

Re: Random gaming discussion
I threw $40 at the new Torment game and recieved Wasteland 2 as a bonus. Actually I just played about half an hour, because I couldn't find the time to properly play it. Lots of reading and oldschool mechanics, if you're into that.

Re: Random gaming discussion
Fallout 4 is going to be awesome - they have world building now. Wasteland 2 was okay, not into isometric games at all though. Found it boring really. Not into adventure type games or oldschool mechanics. I find all that stuff just tedious. Too much dicking around and not enough interesting things going on. I'll be back in a month with tons of shiny pictures from Fallout 4

Re: Random gaming discussion
So the last episode of Life is Strange wasn't as awesome as I expected, but it was still very very good and this one of my contenders for the GOTY title. ▼Spoiler Saving Chloe ending sucks big time. Not only it's much shorter, it's kinda dumb as well. So Chloe and Max didn't even go and see if the people they cared about are still alive (or at least say goodbye to them)? I mean it's not like an atomic bomb has dropped on Arcadia Bay and everyone in there are 100% dead. Sacrificing Arcadia Bay was my original decision and I felt like was cheated out of some awesome things when I watched the other ending a few hours later (that cemetery scene ).

I thought it was a good episode, not the best. But I did enjoy it. It made my hairs stand on end during parts of it. ▼Spoiler I did end up sacrificing Chloe, one person not being more important than many lives kinda thing. And it was a good ending scene. Haven't seen the other scene. I found it weird that everyone else came to Chloe's funeral though.

Re: Random gaming discussion
By the way it's interesting how they'll approach the idea of season 2 (if it gets greenlit by Square Enix) since both endings are so different from each other. I wouldn't want them to combine both endings into one new story after preparing only two different prologues. New main character perhaps? And he/she could meet Max later in the game?

season 2 could be max discovering how to use her powers without causing a butterfly effect.

Re: Random gaming discussion
Fallout 4 becomes available in a few hours. Anyone else will attempt to play it? Many seem to feel like it will be as buggy and unplayable on release as Fallout 3 and Fallout New vegas, but I have my hopes up that it will still be stable enough and that bugs will not be a big factor. Anyone else looking to play it?

Me... I've not played any of the other Fallout games, and I don't really get what all the hype is about, but I've finished Witcher 3 and need something else, and this does look clever. I just hope it's not all about what fun it is building your own house etc. I like games where you can just run around shooting people in the face, without worrying about putting some special oil on your sword, or brewing some weird potion to kill some level-39 bullfrog. etc. etc. If I need to kill a some big bad monster, let the game provide a bigger gun. I'm old school and bought my first PC just so I could play Doom.
2020. Meh.
