Th Scorch Trials - really enjoyed it, very different to the Maze Runner and probably a better movie than the first instalment even though I also really enjoyed that one too.

Dead Poets Society was even more bittersweet this time around. Still can't believe that Robin passed away.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
Do you want to watch a movie that's extremely disturbing, emotionally wrecking and mindblowingly harrowing about the Nanking Massacre? Well then, The City of Life and Death is the movie for you. One of the most gutwrenching movies I have ever seen and do not want to see twice, ever. I couldn't even watch it in one sitting and had to take breaks.

The Man from UNCLE was just okay. Pretty and decently acted, but extremely empty and leaves your head as quick as the action is going on.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
The Martian - Great, but the book was better of course
Avengers 2 - Good (enough), but i much prefered Avengers 1 and Guardians of the Galaxy
Fast & Furious 7 Extended cut - Good, especially for a 7th part in a franchise. Even tho there were some scenes/stunts where you can only switch of the brain and enjoy the ride. And a bittersweet ending.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
Spy - Barely funny. Another vehicule for that woman that apparently many find funny. 1 minute, 2 maybe, after that, vulgarity loses me.
Max - Decent feel good movie.
Fantastic Four (2015) - Started ok.... completly lost it
Aloha - Boring - Takes 2/3 of the movie just to understand what the guy does. And you're still not sure at the end.
Pete : Well... you... you told me to investigate ok ? So... she's unarmed.

Terminator: Geriatrics wasn't that bad. I watched it expected to be entertained and to laugh at Arnie and I did (bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do ). Sure, there were plenty of idiotic scenes and horribly casted characters, but I've seen much worse remakes / sequels / reboots (or whatever the hell you call Genisys).

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
So I saw Spectre and I think that in some cases it was even better than Skyfall (even though they had something that made me roll my eyes, but then again it was a very Bondish thing and very tipical for the series). I only wished that

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
That was pretty much my facial expression through most of the movie...
At least they weren't afraid of killing off characters one by one (didn't expect that in a PG flick) and the final battle was somewhat enjoyable (from the visual side and from the 'fan of the original film' side ).

No Escape - Inpressivly entertaining.
Hitman Agent 47 (2015) - Ok...
Insurgent - I know I saw it, I just completly forgot what happened.

What We Do In The Shadows (2014)
A really funny mockumentary on the lives of 3 vampire flatmates and how they struggle with modern life

We're werewolves, not swearwolves.
Fury was a perfectly fine war movie. Although it doesn't match the quality of movies like Saving Private Ryan, it's an thoroughly enjoyable experience. I especially enjoyed the cast, only wished the script was a tiny bit better.

Antman was a dissapointment. I only finished it because it's a Marvel movie. Boooooriiiiing. I wish Edgar Wright would've stayed as the director.

I really enjoyed The Theory of Everything. Fine piece of drama with some excellent acting from Eddie Redmayne (I've been cheering for him since Pillars of the Earth, I'm so happy that he got the recognition he deserves).

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
I am not going to spoil the movie to anyone. I personally liked the movie, it felt good. The story was strong, I didn't notice the time just flying by.
I was happy from the first notes of the theme during the opening crawl until the end credits. JJ did a good job.
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
The Hype was stong in this one. Still damn good though.
Without giving any spoilers I can't say much, other than: the next one will clearly be better. I can confirm that JJ does not stand for Jar Jar, thank goodness.
Would have enjoyed it more in 2d at home without the damn popcorn smell and some of the audience breaking my immersion with going "wooo" and applauding everytime a known character makes their first appearance. I guess I am not a cinema person . #banpopcorn
The black stormtrooper everyone was going mental about was actually my favourite character.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
The Hateful Eight
3/10 - Really bad film. No plot, no character development, just really bad.
After an hour the wife and I both agreed it was awful, but we were already invested this much we'll have to see where it goes. There is zero indication who of the 12+ characters were the hateful ones, and which were not. Very poor.
The Revenant
0/10 - What the heck was this. The wife and I both wanted it off after about 20 minutes.
Very slow, no idea what was going on, half of it was in subtitles (which I don't mind) but there was no point to these ones. Avoid.
Spectre
7/10 - Typical James Bond movie. A few laughs here and there which for me in a JB movie is out of place. All the normal plot devices are there: woman who hates him, then sleeps with him; Villain that tells him his plans JB is tied up/tortured; Lots of explosions and stunts.
