Well season 2 was absolutely jaw dropping to say the least. We all know how this story ends in '93, and despite this fact I'm still glued to the screen with each and every episode. This season has definitely been the best I've seen from Netflix so far this year and that's saying a lot. Also happens to be the best from Gaumont IMO, keeping that same level of quality from Hannibal. Top notch production, Palme d’Or type directing, beautiful cinematography, and a great cast from top to bottom. When I now think of Pablo Escobar, Wagner Moura's face is the first thing that pops in my mind. His performance was Emmy, Golden, Tony, Cannes, and Oscar all-in-one. Pablo Escobar was a character who certainly took a lot of Wagner Moura (there's no denying that) and his performance was nothing short of amazing but the main achievement and overall strength with Narcos was not glamorizing Escobar or the drug trade, but presenting a compelling, human story that everyone can relate to.
This is must see TV folks!! The details of the various manipulation tactics in this story are really compelling and I would imagine quite real, and even though certain scenes, characters, locations, and events were fictionalized for dramatic purposes, the story narration made it appear quite real and conceivable in our complex world. This season has been no different than the previous as it was simply stupendous.
Bravo!!
