My biggest issue is they just ignore the most obvious thing.....what happens to his corpse when he dies? Does it just magically vanish into thin air? His corpse obviously hasn't been found lying around NY multiple times so I guess it does.

My thoughts exactly. Also not just his body, what about his clothes? He was impaled on a rod lying in the cart, so when he vanished, he left behind his empty clothes lying on the floor. Also there was blood on it. Does his blood disappear as well? I know the whole immortality thing cannot be made into something that makes sense and we are just supposed to take a leap of faith with this one, but I think it's a tad too much.
Also when you take away the immortality gimmick you're left with an average Mentalist/Holmes/Castle/Lie to me/genius helps police procedural. No thanks, I've seen enough of these, I will get back on my Bojack Horseman marathon.
