Re: True Detective
Looks good in the teaser. Besides, I trust the casting directors at HBO.

It's not like I associate Woody Harrelson with anything serious before that tbh. He'll always be Woody from Cheers for me before anything.

Re: True Detective
I'm actually not at all worried about Vince Vaughn. Sure his movies are all pretty much garbage rom coms where he only plays himself. I think just like Matthew was before becoming awesome again, Vince Vaughn has been just lazy moneygrabber so far. I'm actually very curious to see how he fairs. My guess is he will steal the show. Or maybe I'm just an overly optimistic fanboy. I guess we will find out in the summer, cannot wait!

Re: True Detective
felt the first ep of season 2 was a bit all over the place, still adjusting to the roles the big stars are playing, but definitely liking colin farrell character bring on ep 2

Re: True Detective
I'm gonna have to rewatch the first episode, because the pacing was all over the place. However, I like the characters and the lack of philosophical monologues.

Re: True Detective
I do not know what to say about the first episode. I felt like it was hard to get a grip of things. There will need to be another episode or two before I can pass a judgment. Like it was neither positive or negative but more like an empty nothing. This season was suppose to be different but there was a brilliance in the acting and the monologues and dialogues during the interviews that lifted the first season. Right now season two have not been able to touch that brilliance but it is still only one episode so there is certainly time.

Re: True Detective
Yeah the pace was a little fast, but overall it was a strong start. Loved the main chars and their traumatized selfs.

Yeah, quite a surprise. This is becoming a regular thing in TV dramas these days.

Re: True Detective
It was an okay ep, but at this point the show is riding on the hype from season 1. If this was season 1, there wouldn't be the acclaim. Although I think that the show will start snowballing soon, let's see.
