Just realised it doesn't air till today - whoops!

Looking at trailers they might be looking to step up a bit from the usual superhero shows. Hopefully they will be able to do that. Not that I think most superhero shows are bad, but they lack something to get me really fired up. I am hopeful that this show will be able to change that for me.

I am also dissappointed from most supperhero shows, yet I still keep checking new ones.Being on Netflix airing whole season might be good thogh, having the whole show to see in the"hooneymoon" stage makes watching even mediocre shows good.

Liking it. Has quite a realistic feel, not a comic feel. That's good.

Okay, six episodes done and I feel like I may give my nonspoiler thoughts on the show.

First the positives:

- I love the violent and dark feel to the show, makes it stand out from rest of the Marvel shows.
- The destruction left behind by the Avengers is a cool setup, we rarely get to see the aftermath and destruction heroes leave behind.
- Charlie Cox and the rest of the cast are doing a good job.
- Except for Vincent D'Onorfio, who is freaking fantastic as Fisk. I would even say that he is the best bad guy in any Marvel movie/show. There's a duality to him, he's not just a black and white bad guy. I like how socially awkward he is, you might even call him insecure.
- DD's costume seems to get a lot of shit here, I like it. Because we all know this won't be the final costume. He has basically just hid his face and doesn't even think of himself as a superhero. I'm guessing the transformation will happen in the season finale.

The negatives:
- Sometimes especially on the fight scenes you can see the limited budget but it's not too disturbing.
- The adventures of Foggy bear and Karen don't really interest me at this point yet. I understand the need for Foggy so the show won't be too dark, but the comedy isn't that well written. I'm guessing we will see the darkness of Karen somewhere down the line as her past difficulties were briefly mentioned by the newspaper guy.

All in all I'm highly impressed, the second best new show this year, only behind BCS. This might even be my favourite Marvel thing so far. It has grittiness other Marvel movies/shows lack. And yeah, I know the other ones aren't even supposed to be this gritty, it's just a personal preference of mine.

Good stuff although I wasn't fond of the Kingpin little "issues" wich seems to be a different take from the very (and probably too comicly confident Kingpin of the books) but it was still well developped and done.

A very good show overall. Next season in costume!

After watching four episodes I must say it's getting better. I like the main villain and Rosario joining the cast wasn't a bad idea either. I don't mind Karen's scenes since she's a cutie.

Yeah I agree, it picks up a lot in the last episodes. I will definitely tune in for season 2

Finished it. The remaining episodes were great and I changed my mind on the costume - the first ("primitive") version was better.

binge watched all 13. very well done. Fisk was awesome. can't wait for season 2.
