Topic: Zombie shows

Can anyone explain to me why all zombie shows(movie/tv) always start like 3 years after the initial virus wipes out  man kind leaving only a few groups of survivors left, They always begin in a post-apocalyptic world and you never actually get to see how we go from the world as we know it to the demolished, dead infested, waste land that's left after the outbreak. Personally I think that would be much more interesting than what comes after. Anyways if anyone does know of a film that explores this in more detail please do tell.

Re: Zombie shows

Outbreak costs money. A desolated area is cheaper.

DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".

You do know that the show is about preventing the plague, right? wink And the future scenes take place long after the apocalypse. I wouldn't count on many scenes from the time when the disease was spreading.
