Topic: 12 Monkeys
12 Monkeys
The show follows the journey of a time traveler, Cole, from the post-apocalyptic future. Using a dangerous and untested method of time travel, Cole arrives in the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate 93.6% of the human race. Will Cole be able to save the fate of mankind or is mankind bound by fate? Taking place in the ravaged future of 2043 and the present day, 12 Monkeys explores themes of destiny, fate, love and the possibility of second chances. Stars: Aaron Stanford, Amanda Schull, Noah Bean I loved the pilot, really promising show!

Re: 12 Monkeys
Agreed. I liked the movie and wondered how they were going to get along without Bruce Willis. The TV shows demonstrates imagination as well as good casting, writing and directing. Definitely a contender.

Re: 12 Monkeys
So Birkhoff is going to save the world and Brad Pitt is now a woman? Pilot was ok, but second episode was kinda slow and boring. And how long are they planning on hiding the fact that

Re: 12 Monkeys
I don't like the physics of their time travel. Waaaaay too many paradoxes, this is like Doctor Who level time travel non-sense. Really struggling to enjoy the show because of that.

Yeah I am, too. Usually, I can suspend disbelief but time travel stuff gets me going in circles and it's hard to stop.

Re: 12 Monkeys
So far, so good to me. Let's see how it holds up. When it comes to sc-fi shows revolving around time travel in recent memory, Shanti's explanation of the "branching" theory and how things worked always made the most sense to me lol. Maybe "Turn Left" for all you Doctor Who fans. Either way we've all probably seen enough time surfing movies and eps in our lifetime to make the concept seem like another day at the office. I like the way this season has started out so far. Here's hoping that the series itself doesn't meet the fate of a Syfy paradox.

Meh.. I didn't really read about the show before watching. Time travel bores me, but on top of that I didn't like the cast.

Liked it and not comparing it to the movie or the movie which the movie was based on...

Re: 12 Monkeys
I leave this until I have nothing else to watch, then I watch the next episode. These episodes are boring, then not boring then boring again. I don't know...this is one of those shows where I can take it or leave it.

It would be very boring indeed if we all liked the same shows. Actually, maybe it wouldn't, maybe they'd make more great shows then!
2020. Meh.
