Re: Helix
So ermm the finale... That seemed like an unusual amount of money he payed at the cafe. Way too much for coffee and what-not and way too little for ▼Spoiler the thing under the check what I am assuming is some-sort of an access card to some Illaria facility. anyway Good season and show. Feels fresh and there arent many newer shows on my watchlist. PS: I would be interested to know what the newspaper said near the end.

Re: Helix
... But what was the virus about? It was a pivotal part of the show, yet it still seems pointless.

Re: Helix
▼Spoiler I thought Julia was a latent vamp/witch because Hitacki was her father, I never thought it had anything to do with the virus. And that theory makes interest in the cure even more confusing to me, what, do some of them not want to be immortal anymore?

Re: Helix
This was a great season/series and I can't wait for season two. There are still so many questions unanswered like
▼Spoiler the complete immortal story or the real background of the narvik virus/cure And why the hell is Julia now über badass?

Re: Helix
I finally had the time to finish watching season 1 and I liked it a lot. The second half of the season was more focused on the characters instead of the scientific stuff, but I didn't mind. The show did have some poor acting, crappy CGI and some stories that weren't as surprising as they should've been (like the daughter storyline), but it also had some cool wtf moments , a very nice bunch of characters, pretty shocking deaths and the season cliffhanger was also something I didn't expect at all. Waiting for season 2 and this time I won't be binge-watching it.

Re: Helix
Yeah, it's cool it got a renewal, because the viewership numbers weren't that great. There is also a synopsis of season two, but I wouldn't read it if I were you since it spoils quite a lot.

Helix 2: Lost The bit was a big surprise and I'm interested in the cult storyline. Definitely stays on my watchlist.

LOL, you and me both! Only thing missing would be a yellow smoke monster; oh wait we already have that in this other sci-fi series. Season one of Helix was great and this season has the potential to be even better. Very interested in seeing how this all turns to turned out.

Re: Helix
too predictable for me. I seriously couldnt see how they could make a compelling new season with the season 1 cliffhanger...so instead of saying...ok lets screw it and go all "american horror story, black mirror" on us and create a new similar storyline about a biological terror. They...well they tried to do all of the above... I love`d the premise of season one, and i keep watching, but i cant see how this season and new setting can pull it off. Serious spoiler alert...im serious!
▼Spoiler Well, im pretty sure mr faragout created a bioweapon based on a plant/fungus with the sample he buggered off with,to weed out the immortals...so thats that.

Re: Helix
losing interest into this show I had high hopes for this but the writers ruined this pretty much, there is still something that keeps me watching this, but its hard to stay focused, the soundtrack is horrible and so badly written stuff. Hopefully it gets better and get rid of that cult shit and focuse more on Ilaria and narvik

I'm still persevering with Helix. I still watch Agents of Shield and The Walking Dead, and I have absolutely no idea why.

Re: Helix
So, if Season 2 is a big disappointment, is this worth the trouble of picking up? Only watch season 1 and then quit? Or never begin at all?

Impossible for others to say really as we all like and dislike different things. Season 2 of Helix is very different to season 1. It started off with a real "Lost" feel about it, but now that has disappeared and I'm actually hoping it gets cancelled. I would only recommend watching Helix if you run out of other things to watch.
