Maybe going with the ios 7 trend nowadays with a sky blue background a white circle and a white TV with a black screen inside it or a written NE inside a white circle circle would look better alongside all the new icons people publish at the moment. Still just my view and do whatever you feel best mate. From what I can see from the screenshots the app itself looks smashing. Especially the show summary view will be very nice to use. Also if possible on the show summary screen maybe add a summary button to the next episode as well as the previous one. Most shows have either the entire seasons summary's added or at least some in advance and even if not it would show like always Not Available like before. Edit: Just popped into my mind after posting but is it possible to maybe make the previous episode ( next episode ) frame, table or whatever layout it uses an object to click that opens the summary instead of a button. My best way of describing it would be saying like in the native notes app. When you click on any one of your notes in the list displayed on the screen it goes into its page. So to say it the entire frame from the line on top of it to the line to the bottom of it could be its clickable space that could be identified with an arrow on the right like in notes that opens that episodes summary. Re: iOS 7 RedesignHave you made changes to the swipe function? I would prefer to swipe a watched episode aside so to speak rather than a swipe that registers the command to mark an episode. Am I making any sense? Like for instance in the Mail app you can slide an email aside to reveal options. So I guess I'm talking about a slide rather than a swipe. I think slide feels more natural. Re: iOS 7 RedesignLooking good! I'd let the content scroll behind the nav and tab bars though and make them translucent so you get the iOS 7 blur effects with the content, make the app a bit more alive! I do agree with the above comment on the app icon though. Maybe stick with the blue with a flatter icon, perhaps the TV front on. Just my 2 cents 5 2013-11-21 00:43:12 (edited by thepace 2013-11-21 00:45:05)Re: iOS 7 Redesignagree with themanticors especially the part added after editing original post and since you said its time to ask for features how about making the app universal with ipad optimized interface . since you are doing major redesign this may be the right time to ask for this ( i know previous ipad wishes were ignored) Re: iOS 7 Redesignthemanticors wrote:
How would one know that's clickable? Halo2 wrote:
It's already translucent Take a better look at the What's Next screenshot where I scrolled it especially to showcase this thepace wrote:
It is the right time to ask for it, and the wishes were not ignored, I just didn't have the capacity to do it (as I want to do a full ipad experience, not just a port of the iphone app). Probably won't happen in this update as well ... Re: iOS 7 RedesignLove the new design. It would be nice to have a show count. So in 'My shows' it tells me the number of how many shows in total in my list, or how many active and how many inactive number in the bars. You could hide the numbers so you have to pull down in 'My shows' and reveals the show total at the top. Hope that makes sense. You could also put a search bar in that hidden area for the people who have a lot of shows in their list. So its quicker to search their list for a show they're looking for. Just ideas. Have no idea how hard it would be to do, but if you could in this or future updates it would be nice. Keep up the good work. Re: iOS 7 Redesignsantah wrote:
The little arrow pointer at the right side of the clickable frame like in notes. If you check it out in notes you could see it in work. Also you could make it like a little horizontal block or something that says in down -> up direction more. Just from the top of my mind. Also i agree to nightcrow a build in forum page would be excellent if it is possible. At this time it is the only feature missing that would make it a more smashing app it already is. Re: iOS 7 RedesignI fail to see the point of the app without sync to the site's database... So, please add that Re: iOS 7 Redesigndekket wrote:
could you explain? if you link app with site account evertyhing is in sync, it always has been Re: iOS 7 Redesignthepace wrote:
Re: iOS 7 RedesignI submitted the update to Apple yesterday (should be available by the end of this week if everything goes well with the review process) and I think it turned out great! I'll post a few screenshots a bit later today! Re: iOS 7 RedesignAight, so, these are the promo screenshots for the updated app: http://imgur.com/a/4DGKk As there is a 5 screenshots limit, some functionality couldn't be shown, such as: - My Shows now has a search bar on top which searches all shows + your shows (with your shows on top and highlighted) - http://imgur.com/xw0rXHd - The Calendar in Recent is now a real calendar, filled with your shows - http://imgur.com/jqkLXF3 So basically, other than the redesign, the most important (new) features, I believe, are: - the search bar in my shows I'm still adding trailers to the shows as it's a feature even the site doesn't yet have (but I'll add it here soon as well!). I hope you guys will like it as much as I do. I worked (almost) night and day to finish and polish it and make it the best I could. Re: iOS 7 RedesignLooks nice! Too bad I'm an android user ...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?
