As a P&R fan I'm definitely upset by this news, but I think EVERYONE in this thread is missing the very simple reason why NBC is doing this. Simply put, they had a half hour comedy tank (Welcome to the Family) and get canceled after two episodes, and it does not appear that they have any other sitcoms to fill that slot (The Mindy Project, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Mulaney were all originally NBC projects the network rejected, and now the cupboard is bare). Therefore, they decided to bump P&R in favor of hour long alternatives (The Voice re-runs, Specials, football, etc.) they had on the shelf.
TL;DR: P&R is getting bumped because WttF got canceled and NBC has no other comedies.
