A buddy of mine was still in Shanghai at the 40 hour mark and I was on the last level at the 28 hour mark. I asked why he's so far behind and played for almost twice as long, he told me he was stealth...so it looks like im looking at another 50+ hours, even more because I'm going to play the hardest setting and get both No Alarm and No Kill achievement. The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds given adequate vacuuming systems.
I'm not evil, I'm just virtue intolerant Re: Deus Ex seriesSo, should I give Deus Ex a go? My prefrence in games is more FPS than RPG. Though if the game has some personal development I like it more, as in Bioshock and Arkham Asylum, but Mass Effect I found too RPG. I don't really like COD or Halo 'cause I find them too run-in-and-shoot-everything. I also liked the Splinter Cell series. I did try the original Deus Ex back in the day, but back then I didn't like the whole open world aspect of it. Since then I've began to like open worlds. 56 2011-09-09 19:23:14 (edited by toidol 2011-09-09 19:27:51)Re: Deus Ex seriesOrlando wrote:
So sneaky-stabby is a viable option? And the game isn't too dialog heavy? Re: Deus Ex seriesOrlando wrote:
Maybe I'll give it a go then. 59 2011-09-09 19:53:57 (edited by Vana 2011-09-09 19:54:45)Re: Deus Ex series3v1lkr0w wrote:
Hmm, I have no idea how many hours I've spent. I play on PS3, not PC/Steam. But yes, stealth takes a LOT of time. I did play in sneaky mode the first time, but did use the combat rifle when I felt like it. Like you I'm also on the hardest, trying to get No Alarm and No Kill achievement. So far I don't really notice any change in the difficulty (haven't reach Barrett yet though), other than that you don't get a yellow halo around interactive things and objective directions aren't displayed on the screen (only in the radar an the map). The bosses was surprisingly easy in medium. Since I now know how to take them, I don't see it being any harder than the first time. Maybe a bit more time-consuming. Re: Deus Ex seriestoidol wrote:
You definitely should! There are some dialogue, but you have the opportunity to choose how you appear - cold or empathic. In addition, how you analyze and answer persons will give you advantages and XP. An awesome game in my opinion, if you like FPS and stealth play. 65 2012-10-08 08:43:45 (edited by xrnzaaas 2012-10-08 08:44:20)Re: Deus Ex seriesPosts: 51 to 69 of 69Forums - Next Episode → Gaming → Deus Ex series |
