Saxon is one of the weakest villains this shows has ever had and the episode itself was also pretty bad. Plus does anyone even believe that

That whole last scene was all silly anyway. The Marshal came in without recognizing the MOST WANTED MAN IN MIAMI whose face was even shown on TV. And instead of questioning him and securing him he just lets him loose without a question. And then bursts in Deb with her weapon drawn and aiming at Oliver and still manages to get shot eventhough Oliver hadn't fully drawn his weapon.
Quite the pros they are... Also why would they let Oliver get arrested? Even without any definitive proof he can tell pretty much everything Dex has been up to.
I understand why the writers didn't want to do the whole "Dexter gets caught" story line this season. They must have thought that it's what everyone is expecting so it will be too predictable. So they decided to do this turd fest instead, I just hope they would have went with predictable instead.

What's even funnier about the marshall's behavior is that he didn't even bother to peek through the windows of Deb's place (same with Elway). Seriously, it's not an apartment and it's not a bunker. Plus from what we've seen in the show there are sliding doors leading to the beach so he wouldn't even have to worry about breaking the law by breaking in. Or he could at least stake out the place with binoculars... it's in open area and his view wouldn't be obstructed.
I agree on the immense stupidity of the idea of arresting Saxon judging by what he knows... he's not Hannah and he wouldn't keep quiet.

I am very very disappointed. So many holes and stupid things.
Also quite boring in general.
I thought first half of the season was good but right now it is just not for me.
Hope the last episode will not be a giant disappointed too

Definitely not up to par, but I'm still enjoying it.

This has been the silliest season of them all.
Elway character seemed to have significance but the most visible thing he did was wear really ugly sun-glasses this one time. I guess he might have some impact on the last episode judging by the ending.
The Quinn story line is a fucking soap opera, not a detective thing.
Dexter suddenly develops feelings. I really miss those "Maybe if I hold my eyes open long enough, they will tear up" and "I have no idea what is hammer time and how it differs from regular time" lines. Just wishing for more witty stuff.
Overall, a bad season and I doubt it can be made better with the finale.
