Re: Suggest TV Series
Stubled across the show "Charly Jade". Sounds interesting, but never heard of it. Can anybody recommend this? Sounds like Fringe, meets Journeyman.

It's on Hulu, watched a few episodes. Not bad, but it was cancelled after one season.

Re: Suggest TV Series
Just picking up on Legit, (and like Eastbound & Down), but looking for a real A-grade sitcom, currently watching Big Bang Theory and Modern Family, which both would qualify. But what else?
Here's some ideas if your likes align with mine...
Current comedy gold:
American Dad, An Idiot Abroad, Archer, Arrested Development, Bob's Burgers, Californication, Community, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Louie, Parks and Recreation, The Venture Brothers
I also watch/like:
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, South Park, The Simpsons, Up All Night, Wilfred, Family Guy, Veep
Current stuff I am over or is in fact over:
2 Broke Girls, Cougar Town, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, Happy Endings, How I Met Your Mother, New Girl, Rules of Engagement, Suburgatory, The Goodwin Games
Any others with legs?
ps. I saw Better off Ted mentioned in the last few pages, but only two seasons? And I am aware of 2.5 Men and Anger Management's popularity.

You are doing nothing wrong with Better of Ted, it's not laugh out funny per se but pretty likeable show, same goes for Melissa and Joey and Men at Work.
If you like Suburgatory then maybe the show Awkward which is similar, but if you are over it coz u dont like it anymore then maybe not.
If you like American Dad, Family Guy and South Park then give Brickleberry a try.
Other recommendations The Penguins of Madagascar, Mike and Molly
and The League.
Re: Suggest TV Series
I grabbed some Better Off Ted and Melissa and Joey and The Ricky Gervais Show, will flag the others.
If you enjoyed The Ricky Gervais Show (and the UK office), you probably liked Extras, also good is Life's Too Short.
And Episodes with Matt le Blanc I found to be every entertaining.
Re: Suggest TV Series
morning people!
So has someone watched teasers/trailers/intros to new shows that are coming out this fall? Anything new to keep an eye out?
i'm rather lazy to do some research myself, plus i stopped watching trailers 3+ years ago.
Re: Suggest TV Series
I've been hearing quite a bit about God Save the Queen. It's about a girl who is told she can become anything, and so she becomes the queen, and there is much tea, tubby toast and deadpan remarks. On some levels, you can see influences from both Truffaut and Emily the Strange, and in the end, isn't that what television is all about?
Re: Suggest TV Series
Has anyone seen Äkta Människor (Real Humans)? I just watched the first three episodes, and I'm freaking stunned! I had no idea that swedes could make this kind of television.
This is a seriously exciting and dramatic science fiction! And it's swedish! Hell, it even airs on a public fucking service channel! (which is probably the reason why I had never heard of it)
I don't really know what to say... It's about a not too distant future where people get humanoids to use for work, friendship, sex and love
Anyhow, there are 10 episodes out there, so far. My bet is that I have seen them all by sunday... after all, I have to make time for the C2H5OH...

I have heard of this one. Anything coming out of Sweden usually make me throw up slightly in the mouth, but I figure now I will have to give it a shot since it's getting attention outside Sweden
Re: Suggest TV Series
Burn Notice - I used to enjoy it but thought seasons 5 & 6 went downhill. If you thought the same, did you think season 7 was better? i.e. worth watching?
Re: Suggest TV Series
Last season was pretty fast moving, in large part because the writers knew exactly where they were going in the final episodes.
Re: Suggest TV Series
Just finished watching Deadbeat on Hulu. Really good comedy. Highly recommended.

Deadbeat wasn't bad at all.
Re: Suggest TV Series
Any way we can get sports jeopardy on the app?
Re: Suggest TV Series
Anyone have any suggestions of decent supernatural/fantasy type shows? Think magic, vampires, werewolves, monsters, etc.
Or limited sci-fi w/fantasy (so no SG-type stuff, more like the 100, Revolution, Tomorrow People, etc.)?
Unfortunately, it feels like I've seen almost everything decent(ish) in this genre and I need something to fill the summer...
