Worst unresolved cliffhanger in history of cancelled TV shows (Page 3 of 3)

I picked TSCC because it's the one of them that I would most like to continue. I would really have liked more Surface too, though.
The ending of Angel I loved... I wouldn't really call that a cliffhanger... more going out with a bang

KyleXY and TSCC, are the most annoying endings. You take Angel and forget the comics, you can assume they all die, and that's an ending. The 4400 also ended somewhat, with a promise more than a proper cliffhanger, but deserved better, a miniseries or something to end it properly, or not, I kenda like that it ends a bit open. KyleXY deserved a movie or something, just to wrap up, I read an interview with the authors and they had a lot planned for the boy in terms of ethical challenges.

Worst ending though still goes to Alf, where the lighthearted family comedy ends in abruptly dark tone with Alf being captured by the government to be experimented on and dissected.

Voting on the cliffhanger, and not the quality of the show, I'd say the worst cliffhanger for me was "The Event".  The show deserved to be cancelled, but the secret (the origin of the others) that they dangled in front of us all season was never explained.  The show's creator even promised in his blog after the cancellation to eventually reveal the secrets, and never did. 

For shows I liked, TSCC was the worst by far - the show was just hitting its stride too.  SGU was also frustrating. Farscape, without the later Peacekeeper Wars miniseries, would have been on the list - it ended literally with "to be continued" after "killing" the main characters.

Angel and Caprica had proper finales, not cliffhangers.  Heroes wasn't really a "cliffhanger" as she already fell and revived in front of the camera by the end of the episode.  It left room for a future, but didn't demand one.

Here is what I think..  all these good shows..  ending so poorly..   think of it this way..  If you purchased a BOOK and spend days/weeks reading it only to find that last 20 or so pages to be blank and the last page with words on it ended with 'blah blah....'   you'd be pissed off and want your money back for the BOOK..   I'm getting tired of investing my time into a good story for it to just END..   and I'm not talking days/weeks..   typically these episodes lasts for years..   only to be cut or cancelled leaving us the viewer stranded for an ending..   It's horrible practice and we should start a boycott to get the networks to commit to finishing the stories.  I understand the francise loses money and they want to cancel it.. that's fine..  spend the money and finish it properly..    you wouldn't want to buy a new model car and find out in 4 months they stop selling them and stop producing replacement parts for it..   movies and TV should be no different..  Support your viewers and give them a full product...     Who's with me?
