Re: DISNEY ACQUIRES LUCASFILM
IF it will not bring in these excessive profits, it WILL be piracys fault, no doubt.
You're a member of the MPAA or something ? Because that's the usual false misconception proven false again and again by the simple fact that when a movie is good, people go see it, if a movie is bad, people don't go see it. Piracy only scratches the surface of the "after theather" market. And since 95% of big studio movies are an insult to human intelligence and most importantly, humans will to pay top $ for insulting stuff, the perceptible downslide is inevitable.
As for Star Wars... it's a scarier move than to just let it go. The first trilogy as cheezy it looks today was a Space Opera (Lucas words) with so much awesome sauce and potential. The second (prequels) trilogy was just so wrong in so many ways down to the "explanation of the force" in the first, the horrible casting of 2 and 3 (none of the main actors were right), the horrible acting (from the horrible cast) and was merely a show of CGI power. Only the third one had a few redeemable things.
If they do a 7, I hope they put a shitload of energy on a good script.
Pete : Well... you... you told me to investigate ok ? So... she's unarmed.
