The actress has been in Australia since filming wrapped on that episode, so unless she come back at the end of the season it was the last we saw of her.

Not the first time they killed a well-liked character. OK, Charlie had a doppleganger in the other universe. Hmmm, what about Etta? Did the Observers invade any other verse?

It's the final season so they can kill them all, it doesn't matter much. That character didn't have much time to build love so hop, in the bin and let the rampage begin.

It's Lost ending all over again.
A whole new season with a NEW plot and most of the "questions" "answered" in the last two episodes. instead of starting to close the most important loops like william bell and Walter multiple changes in character (IE Belly removing selected parts o Walter's brain) to reveal another secret plan, Sam Weiss and the ZFT manifest... they think that we have forgotten that?
I liked that card played, The alternate universe, in Star Trek movie it was pure genius to reboot the inverse
. but now it's a cliche to start things from zero... "Now all the carachters are in an alternate reality so don't ask us about anything on the past episodes because thay never really happened"
it's really sad but i think this season will never pick up

You do realize the show was nearly cancelled after season 4, but luckily for us, got renewed for a shortened season 5 (13 episodes I believe). So not sure you can really blame them for handling this season the way they have... Regardless, still loving the show and will really miss it when it's over...
