Re: TV Shows Ratings
Thursday Night Ratings:
After two Thursdays of basketball, CBS returned with originals. The Big Bang Theory dipped 12% to a season low matching 4.5 adults 18-49 rating vs. a 5.1 rating three weeks ago, but was still the highest rated show on the night. Returning from its "Rob" hiatus, Rules of Engagement scored a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating, up a tenth vs. a 2.7 rating in its last new episode in mid-December, as well as two tenths above the Rob finale in early March. Person of Interest returned to a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating, down a tenth vs. a 3.4 rating three weeks ago. Finally, The Mentalist had a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating, also down a tenth vs. a 2.8 rating three weeks ago. Fox topped the night's adults 18-49 ratings as American Idol was even with its 4.2 adults 18-49 rating from last week. A week after Touch's official premiere it slid 15% to a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a 3.3 rating last week. Faced with The Big Bang Theory at 8pm, NBC's Community held stead at the same 1.7 adults 18-49 rating as last week. 30 Rock was even with last week's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating. Up All Night fell two tenths to a series low 1.3 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a 1.5 rating two weeks ago. Awake slid 20% to a series/low 1.0 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a 1.2 rating last week. It's D-E-A-D. Enjoy it while you can. ABC's Missing dipped 12% to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a 1.6 rating last week. It's also a dead show airing. The rest of ABC's lineup was repeats. CW's The Vampire Diaries fell two tenths to a season (series?) low matching 1.1 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a 1.3 rating last week. The Secret Circle fell one tenth to a new season low 0.6 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a 0.7 rating last week. Thursday Final Ratings: Both American Idol as well as The Big Bang Theory were adjusted up two tenth of a ratings point among Adults 18-49 versus Thursday's preliminary numbers. Missing and The Vampire Diaries were adjusted up a single tenth. Rules of Engagement and Touch were both adjusted down a tenth.

Friday Night Ratings:
After two weeks of NCAA Basketball CBS edged ABC to top the nights adults 18-49 ratings with its regular line up, as Undercover Boss drew a 1.8 adults 18-49, down 10% vs. its last episode. CSI: NY dropped a tenth to a 1.6 adults 18-49, vs. a 1.7 rating in its last new episode in early February. Blue Bloods was even with its last new episode at a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. Fringe recovered 0.3 points to a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, more typical of its post January episodes, vs. a series low 0.9 rating last week. Earlier, Kitchen Nightmares had a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. Nikita fell back to a series low matching 0.4 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a 0.5 rating last week. Supernatural rose a tenth to a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a season low 0.6 rating last week. I hope that FOX will make a right decision for once and renew Raising Hope. The show's even better than New Girl.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Sunday Night Ratings:
The Academy of Country Music Awards was down two tenths from last year to a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating, its lowest since 2008. But that was still plenty enough to give CBS a victory on the night. ABC's Once Upon a Time was down two tenths to a series low 2.7 adults 18-49 rating and GCB also fell 10% to a series low 1.9 adults 18-49 rating at 10pm. At 9pm Desperate Housewives was steady vs. last week with a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating. Bob’s Burgers fell 20% from last week to a season-low 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. Family Guy was off 11% from its last original two weeks ago to a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating. American Dad was flat vs. last week with another 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. If Tribunes' spat with DirecTV hurt Fox last night, American Dad was spat-proof. Three hours worth of Celebrity Apprentice was steady vs. last week's season-low (in a two hour version) with a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. The 1.5 adults 18-49 rating at 8pm was nearly double that of the 0.8 Harry’s Law pulled in during the hour last week. From 9-11p (its normal time period) Celebrity Apprentice was up a tenth to a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating. Sunday Final Ratings: Once Upon a Time was adjusted up a tenth to a 2.8, Bob’s Burgers was adjusted up a tenth to a 1.7 and 60 Minutes was adjusted up a tenth to a 1.4 among adults 18-49 versus preliminary Sunday broadcast ratings

Monday Night Ratings:
*Due to the nature of live coast-to-coast programming the ratings for CBS (NCAA Basketball) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings. Though we'll need to wait for the finals, the Kansas vs. Kentucky Men's NCAA Basketball Championship was 4% higher than last year's preliminary numbers at a 7.0 adults 18-49 rating. The Voice fell 9% from last Monday to a season low 4.1 adults 18-49 rating, but Smash was up 5% to a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. Bones returned stronger, up 4% vs. its last Thursday outing to a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating. That's obviously higher than Alcatraz and while Bones is looking bigger than a house, the show was also bigger in the ratings than House. House drew a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating, and that was up 5% from its last original two weeks ago. Dancing with the Stars fell 13% to a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating, tying a performance show low. Castle was down 4% to a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. Gossip Girl drew a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating on the CW. Monday Final Ratings: House and Dancing with the Stars were each adjusted up a tenth among adults 18-49 while Castle and Smash were each adjusted down a tenth among adults 18-49 versus Monday's preliminary ratings. There were no other 18-49 adjustments to last night's originals.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Tuesday Night Ratings:
ABC and NBC dueled to a tie with advertiser coveted adults 18-49, though ABC won the night decisively with press release friendly total viewers. Both the Dancing with the Stars recap and the results show were lower than the previous week with adults 18-49, down 0.2 and 0.4 to 1.8 and 2.7 adults 18-49 ratings respectively. Body Of Proof was steady vs. last week with a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating, but last week it was adjusted down a tenth with adults 18-49 in the finals and if there was any DwtS overrun, that could be the case again this week. An hour of The Biggest Loser at 8p was steady (albeit at season lows) vs. last week's two-hour telecast with a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. The Voice's first Tuesday elimination show of the season debuted to a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating, 22% lower than Monday's two-hour telecast. That's down 3% from the first results show, but comparisons are tough since it aired on a different schedule last year. But last night's telecast was down a 54% from its first Monday telecast this season (that came on the heels of the huge post-Super Bowl episode the night before). On Fox, Raising Hope was up a tenth to a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating, but New Girl dipped three tenths to a season low 2.3 adults 18-49 rating. Breaking In was down a tenth to a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating. Without a new 90210 in front of it, Ringer was down a tenth to a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating. Tuesday Final Ratings: Dancing with the Stars Results was adjusted up a tenth in adults 18-49 rating versus Tuesday's preliminary ratings. There were no other adjustments to the adults 18-49 ratings.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Wednesday Night Ratings:
American Idol was down 11% -- six tenths of an adults 18-49 rating point to a 4.7 rating, but Fox still dominated the night with adults 18-49 and total viewers. Note that last week's Wednesday 'Idol" was adjusted up three tenths in the final national numbers. Criminal Minds was down two tenths from its last original to a 3.0 adults 18-49 rating but CSI was up three tenths vs. its last original to a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating. Earlier in the night Survivor was down two tenths to a series low (excluding clips shows) 2.7 adults 18-49 rating. The official time period premiere of Betty White's Off Their Rockers drew a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating, but the premiere of Best Friends Forever lost a third of it and pulled only a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating (tying a repeat of Suburgatory). Bent quietly faded away with 0.9 and 0.7 adults 18-49 ratings in its final two episodes. "Off Their Rockers" was down 31% from its special January preview that drew a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating. ABC was all repeats except for Happy Endings which was down three tenths from last week (when ABC was also all repeats other than Happy Endings) in its season finale to a season low 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. CW's One Tree Hill bid adieu with a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating in its two hour series finale. For One Tree Hill fans, here are some additional notes via the CW: Last night's special two-hour series finale of One Tree Hill (8-10 pm) gave The CW its highest rated Wednesday night among W18-34 (1.4/4) in more than a year (since 2/23/11), and matched season high Wednesday night ratings in A18-34 (0.9/3), A18-49 (0.8/2) and W18-49 (1.1/3). It was The CW's best Wednesday night in A18-34 since premiere week (9/14/11), and best A18-49 and W18-49 ratings since 12/7/11. Versus this week last year, last night was up 50% in A18-34 (0.9/3), 40% in W18-34 (1.4/4) and 33% in A18-49 (0.8/2). Week to week, last night was up 29% in A18-34, 27% in W18-34 and 14% in A18-49.
Wednesday Final Ratings: American Idol was adjusted up two tenths, Happy Endings and Survivor were adjusted up one tenth and the 9PM episode of Bent was adjusted down a tenth among adults 18-49 versus Wednesday's preliminary ratings.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Thursday Night Ratings:
On the eve of Good Friday and heading into Easter Sunday, shows were down across-the-board. Looks like we need to add a "Close to Easter" square to our Fan Excuse Bingo cards. Whatever the reason(s) overall television usage was down 6% from 8-10p vs last Thursday. Fox won the night with adults 18-49 (though head-to-head from 8-10p, CBS bested Fox). The Big Bang Theory topped the night with a 4.2 adults 18-49 rating, down half of an adults 18-49 ratings point from last week to season lows, but American Idol was down six tenths to a 3.8 adults 18-49 rating so The Big Bang Theory still easily led. For the first time, Person of Interest bested Grey’s Anatomy at 9pm(a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating vs. 2.8 for Grey's). But both shows were off from their last originals with Person of Interest down four tenths from last week and Grey’s Anatomy was down two tenths vs. the 3.0 it got in its last original on March 15. It was a season low for Grey’s Anatomy. Rules of Engagement was flat vs. last week (though tied at its season low). The Mentalist was down 11% to a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating tying its series low for a regular telecast. ABC's (and Shonda Rhimes') Scandal premiered to a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating, while on par with Rhimes' Private Practice, I'd guess both ABC and Ms. Rhimes were hoping for better in a series premiere as there is typically nowhere to go but down. Earlier in the night Missing saw a season low with a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. Fox's Touch seems to be fading fast and was down four tenths from last week to a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating. Across- the- board season and series lows for NBC's originals. Community sagged four tenths to a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and 30 Rock was down three tenths to a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. Up All Night was down two tenths to a 1.1 adults 18-49 and Awake was off a tenth to a 0.9 rating. Thursday Final Ratings: Big Bang Theory was adjusted up two tenths, American Idol, Person of Interest, Missing, and Up All Night were adjusted up one tenth, and Scandal was adjusted down a tenth among Adults 18-49 versus Thursday's preliminary numbers.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Friday Night Ratings:
Good Friday and Passover was better to CBS & ABC than it was to Fox! CBS won the night with adults 18-49 and total viewers pace by Undercover Boss which was flat vs. last week and Blue Bloods which was up a tenth to a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. At 9pm CSI: NY was also steady with another 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. ABC ran a Shark Tank repeat which was steady with last week's (also a repeat) 1.3 adults 18-49 rating. Primetime: What Would You Do? was up a tenth to a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. 20/20 fell far from last week's (which drew a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating) but it's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating was still well ahead of NBC's Dateline. Grimm rose a tenth from last week to a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and Who Do You Think You Are? was steady with a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating. The Finder debuted on Friday at a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. That's half its Thursday average (2.2) for originals. Fringe fell back 20% to a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating. Perhaps Fox viewers are more religiously observant than CBS's? CW was in repeats.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Sunday Night Ratings:
*Due to the nature of live sports programming the ratings for CBS (The Masters overrun) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings. Overrun of The Masters paced CBS to a nightly win with adults 18-49 and total viewers on a night that was a mix of repeats and originals. Those wanting to know if the news of Mike Wallace's death fueled 60 Minutes will have to wait until we see unscrambled final ratings tomorrow. Same for the season (series?) finale of CSI: Miami since most of it was pushed out of primetime last night (we only see ratings to 11pm) in the eastern and central time zones. The extra episode of GCB that ran at 9pm (after a repeat of Once Upon a Time) was off two tenths from last week's 10pm episode to a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating, but the regular 10pm telecast was steady with another 1.9 adults 18-49 rating. With less competition, Harry’s Law was up two tenths vs. last week to a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating and Celebrity Apprentice was up 11% to a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating between 8-10p.

Monday Night Ratings:
NBC edged out CBS for the nightly win with advertiser coveted adults 18-49, but The Voice fell two tenths to a Monday season low 3.9 adults 18-49 rating. At 10pm Smash was steady with a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating, tied for its season low. CBS was second for the night with adults 18-49 with its lineup returning to originals for the first time in three weeks. How I Met Your Mother and 2 Broke Girls were both down a tenth from their last originals to 3.4 adults 18-49 rating, tying a season low for both. Two and a Half Men fell 8% to a series low 3.5 adults 18-49 rating. Mike & Molly was up a tenth to a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating and Hawaii Five-0 was also up a tenth to a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating. Dancing with the Stars was flat vs. last week with a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating. With the NCAA tournament in the rear view mirror and CBS back in originals with its comedies, Bones slipped four tenths from last week's Monday debut to a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. House was down two tenths to a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. Gossip Girl was steady with a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating. Hart of Dixie was steady too in its return from hiatus with a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
After a few days of break. I'm back with the ratings Monday Night Ratings:
Note: Last night’s Monday Night Football game was simulcast on the CW affiliate in Chicago. YAY! I'm a happy camper now! Looks like Revolution is pummeling H 5-O in the ratings. Lost mystery + Walking Dead survival seems to be a winning formula (for now).

My happy camper comment was about the ratings post making a comeback, not about Revolution ratings. Reading back my post now, I can see how that can be confusing. Adding a paragraph wouldn't have heard I guess.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
IMO Revolution is also rising because of The Voice. Sure, it's much stronger than The Event, but it's losing a lot of viewers in the second half of the hour which means a lot of people tune out after watching The Voice and a part of the Revolution. Yes, I can't believe it's a genuine hit.

The Thursday Night NFL Network Arizona/St. Louis game was simulcast on the CBS affiliate in Phoenix and the CW affiliate in St. Louis. As a result the numbers for CBS and the CW are probably inflated and subject to more than typical adjustments in the final numbers CBS was the number one network among adults 18-49 and in total viewers. On CBS, The Big Bang Theory earned a 4.9 adults 18-49 rating, down 2% from a 5.0 for last week's premiere. Two and a Half Men scored a 3.7 among adults 18-49, up 6% from last week's 3.5. Person of Interest garnered a 3.1 in adults 18-49, up 7% from last week's 2.9. The second episode of Elementary earned a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating down 16% from last week's 3.1. Note that these numbers may be inflated due to football pre-emptions in Phoenix. On ABC, Last Resort earned a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating down 18% from a 2.2 for last week's premiere. Grey’s Anatomy scored a 3.7, down 16% from the premiere's huge 4.4 adults 18-49 rating last week. Scandal garnered a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week. On FOX, The X Factor scored a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating, down 3% from last week's 3.2. Glee earned a 2.6 up 8% from last week's 2.4 adults 18-49 rating. On NBC, the season premiere of 30 Rock notched a 1.3 in adults 18-49, down 28% from a 1.8 for last season's premiere on January 12, 2012 and down 7% from a 1.4 for last season's finale on May 17, 2012 . Last year, the season premiere of Community garnered a 1.7n in the time period. Up All Night earned a 1.4, even with last week's adults 18-49 rating. The Office garnered a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating matching last week’s performance. Parks and Recreation scored a 1.9 among adults 18-49, up 19% from last week's 1.6. Rock Center earned a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating, up 38% from last week's 0.8. On the CW, the two hour finale of The Next garnered a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week. Thursday Final Ratings: The X Factor, Last Resort, 30 Rock, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Office were each adjusted up a tenth while The Next, Two and a Half Men, Person of Interest, Elementary, Scandal and Rock Center were each adjusted down a tenth among adults 18-49 versus the preliminary Thursday broadcast ratings.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
ABC should really move Last Resort to a different day, because CBS/FOX competition is killing it.
