hmmh... Is it just me or was this episode just a re-run of the same old jokes? I mostly just smiled at a few jokes. Fairly disappointed..

Season five finale was the first episode were I simply got so bored that I turned it off without finishing it...and for only a twenty minute episode to bore me that quick is impressive. I tried giving it a go with this episode, but only made it nine minutes. I really do not care for Amy or Bernadette and everything no evolving those two which is almost nothing it seems these days it a rehash of things they already did in previous seasons

Wow that was a bad episode. It's been going downhill for a while already, but if the rest of the season is this quality, I'm dumping this. As Rwings stated, the show steered wrong when they introduced Amy and Bernadette. I want my nerd jokes back, the comic references are down to a bare minimum and the focus is on the relationship crap. Boo!

While I agree with most of the above, you have to remember that with nerd jokes only a small amount of people will get them. This turns off audiences. In order to stay on the air, they need to have a large base of people, therefore the nerd jokes stop and the general sit-com type formula is used. Sad but true.
DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".

I liked the show when it was about the interaction between the geeks. Hardly see that anymore. Now it is just about the girlfriends and Amy is so boring and Bernadette not much better. Bernadette had some funny moments when she was introduced but i would be happy if she was gone by now. Hopefully Amy will want to dump Sheldon soon and the living situation with Howard and Bernadette will make them break up. Back to the four geeks and the worlds most wonderful neighbor (Penny) having fun together.

Thank you Captain Obvious for clearing that out! 
I think the show would have managed to stay on the air and being the nerd comedy it used to be, it just wouldn't have been the ratings monster it is today. (I haven't checked the latest numbers but last season drew big numbers at least). And yes I do realize that in the network TV world only ratings matter, so there is no need of telling me that. I just find it sad that the comedy I used to like have sunk to its creative lows.
