Topic: So when do u guys think they'll introduce batman into the show

batman is the best comic book hero around. i just hope they take a leaf from batman begins and portray batman as a brooding, dark knight and not that hokey batman from the 70s or val kilmer. any thoughts?

Did you watch Batman Begins? Or have you even followed batman at all?

Showing Bruce Wayne would be stupid and just a pathetic ploy to show any DC Comic hero on the show, why ruin it like that? I understand the Green Arrow bit, it works for the show and a good possible spin-off (which i think is the case), oddly enough he's the same guy that was to play Aqua-man (have the pilot, wasnt horrible).

Right now, Clark is supposed to be 18-19ish, Bruce is still just some angry guy that's off learning and finding a way to control or channel his anger. What point would it be to show Bruce? There has to be a plot line, you can't just throw the guy in there and be like ok cool we had Bruce Wayne!!!!

Also, Clooney was a brutal batman in the series along with Kilmer. THey also F'd up with having Harvey being black in the first 2, then white in the 3rd one...

Re: So when do u guys think they'll introduce batman into the show

I'd agree that we shouldn't see Bruce, simply because there is no power to him as a character when he's still only Bruce and has years before he creates the Batman persona.  GA is a good substitute for him in this regard and its to the writers credit they have used Oliver instead of taking the easy route with Bruce.  (That said - Bruce and Clark did meet as kids in a Weisenger era story.)

And anyhow there are plenty of other JLA members that can show up.  The writers seem to be forging their own direction anyway and adapting the bits of the history they want, and even keeping some great Silver Age flavour instead of going the "dark brooding" route.

Vaguely familiar names show up but they're giving them fresh spins.  Such as Bart Allen instead of Barry.  Arthur showing up was excellent.  (Wonder how many others of the JLA Lois has snogged before she settled on Supes?)

There'd be little point to Hal showing up, sans ring.  But then again Hals strength is his strength of will and character, so perhaps it would work.  Diana maybe.  Can't imagine Carter as any of the Hawkman incarnations.  Ray doesn't invent his abilities till later, though again this can be changed I suppose.  Jon - hmm - a martian in Kansas might make for some good racism analogies.

I'm curious about the eventual fate of Chloe, since given she is the one character not from anywhere in the legend anything can happen to her.

Oh - and I choose to think Harvey was still black in #3 - just the acid bleeched his skin (Michael Jackson anyone?).

Re: So when do u guys think they'll introduce batman into the show

didn't read to see if anyone else posted this so appols.

they cant really introduce batman as he would have to be established as batman. bruce wayne maybe. but none of the heroes have their names yet. and if they do they are given them during the show. like cyborg and green arrow.

flash was called impulse and clark was called boyscout.

its more likely bruce wayne will appear as a vigilante without the batman costume, and clark will give him some guidance as he allways does.

Nope, I think Mxyzptlk had it right first time

I think what they could do is just reference Gotham city and Wayne Enterprise.
Just as a in joke sorta thing for the fanboys.

And with the introduction of Doomsday next season, will they let him kill superman like in the comics?
